Pyjama days

This time of year me and my kids tend to have more pyjama days at the weekend than the rest of the year. It is term break at the moment, raining and we really don't have anywhere to go or have to be so we are having a pyjama day today. When we wake the kids usually bundle into my bed and we watch the tv for a while huddled under the warm duvet. Then we get up and have some breakfast then I usually get dressed because I feel uncomfortable staying in my pyjamas all day but the kdis don't mind!! Do you ever stay in your pyjamas all day?

Hi ya apples99 Yeah is was about 11.30 before I got out of mine today. When I am staying at my mum's I seem to feel more comfortable slopping around in my pj's than I do at my own home but that is probably because I know that no one is going to come knocking! Thanks PS How are you getting on with DAT? Do you need any help with it? I have managed to make some advancement lately!! LOL

I never got dressed on Sunday, I did put on my jeans and shoes, but didn't take off my night shirt - its just that I can barely walk without my shoes and it was a bit cool in the house with nothing on the bottoms, so I put on my jeans - besides, if someone came by the house, I was at least decent to answer the door.

I could live in my pajamas. I love them, comfy, soft and warm. In college I went to class in my jammies many times. I always feel more comfortable in loose clothing and enjoy those memories now. I do hang out in pajamas now on the weekends until late into the day, if I have nothing giong on. I have many different pairs too. Some are obsessed with buying shoes, but for me it is pajamas!

Hi there jodylee_04530 That's nice that you find so much comfort in your pyjamas but that is funny to read that you even went to class in them too. Did you get stared at much? LOL Thanks

Well, in college my pjs were not too out there. I pretty much more plain pajama pants and a teeshirt. Early morning classes no one cared because many of us rolled out of bed and went to class. I would usually dress before the next class. I just could not get to class on time if I took to much time to get ready. I miss the college days, so easy really.

Sounds like fun. We usually don't get dressed early. Unless we have to be somewhere early. Usually we don't get dressed until after 10am cause the PJ's feel so good on these cold mornings. I think it is so cool to be able to stay in our PJ's until we have to get dressed. Have a great PJ's day.

I love our mornings sitting around in pj's. Sipping our coffee listening to our preacher it is nice to have those few hours to ourselves.

pjs - lounging in pajames
Well as a matter of fact we do. We are retired so if we have no where to go or no one is coming over we stay in our jammies all day! of course we shower everynight and put on clean jammies, but there is something about lounging all day in our jammies, the comfort of lounging. the looose fit of it all, and of course going for a nap anytime we want and being dressed for it.

i very rarely wear my pyjamas all day. ive just finished school, so i cant wear pjs there (we have uniform or i would). but even on weekends and in the holidays i dont, its just odd to me. its probably cause i dont sleep in either. i get up at 0630 in the morning, have breakfast and get dressed. on the weekends i play sport or help around the house. im not much of a lounge lizard so the pj thing doesnt really work for me. ive only ever done it a few times - when im sick and once when its was pouring in the holidays.

Hi Humbug, we don't have half term but we do have pjyama days in the christmas school holidays or on wet weekends when it really is too miserable to drag outside. When the wind is howling and shaking the shutters and torrential rain is descending there's really not a lot of point in leaving the quilt as the rooms will be full of nasty cold draughts from the wind.

My kids would love to stay in their pajamas. They do it almost all day on the weekends unless they are going with a friend somewhere. I always change out of my pj's and so does my roommate. I only keep them on if i am sick and stay in bed all day and also on christmas!!! We all keep our pj's on until we leave for christmas dinner.

Hi there chris33 and welcome to myLot I am sure that my kids had there Christmas dinner in their pyjamas last year as we had dinner at home. I did insist that they got dressed but they really didn't want to and so I thought why do they have to? It is their day more so than mine and it was just us! Thanks

Hey Humbug, Ha that sounds kinda cool no I wish I could. On a normal day I have to much to be getting along with I'd nearly need to wear that days clothes to bed lol. I think i'm gonna take a week of work and just sit around in my Pj's all day. Ha even the sound of it is fun :). Thanks for the post maybe I could get some more mylotting done then lol.

Wolfie doesn't wear pyjamas! I guess that's more of a kids thing really, I don't think many men do wear pyjamas nowadays? Unless you are going into hospital but even then I wear shorts and a t-shirt or if you are elderly then you would. My pyjama day equivalent would be shorts and a t-shirt that's my get up when I have the day to myself indoors and just want to lounge around or plonk myself in front of the computer. I forgot it's half term this week, till I heard kids screaming out the back! Still no college this week which means Wolfie can lay in on Thursday morning.

Hi ya wolfie Sure is half term and we are in a not so sunny Cornwall, bloomin' weather still we had a good weekend. It's days like this though that I don't feel much like going out and visiting people, I have a lot going on at the moment and am not much company right now. We will go out tomorrow though I am sure!! Thanks

I can't stay in my pajamas all day...it just bugs me for some reason. lol My son is 3 so I always put his clothes on in the morning before I take my shower so he has never stayed in his pj's all day either. I know some people that can stay in theirs all day and they don't mind but I just can't do it. I don't mind wearing loungy clothes around the house but I just can't make myself wear pj's all day.

hi humbug25 since you guys have all that rain why not shoo some of it over here to Ca. he he.I wish sometimes when I do not get enough sleep I could stay in pj's all day but here the routine is get up at six am go down for breakfast at 7 am, then I guess if I wanted I could get back into pjs but by that time I am thoroughly awake. I used to , when we still had our apartment, not get dressed til almost noon but sadly those days are gone due to this lousy economy. but I am fine anyway.

I live in p.j.'s. if i am home that's what i have on. Got in the habit of it when i was working. Didn't want to come home from the beauty shop & cook supper w/clothes that had hair all over them so i would change into p.j.'s. They are also very comfottable . Since i can't work anymore i live ion them when i'm home. do put on clothes when i go out, lol.

Only if I am sick! It is still hot and I always wear a clean nightie or pyjamas (cotton of course) every day. I wouldn't be comfortable because my 'twins' have to have some support so I need to put on a bra!

Oh my children just wear their under wear in bed as they get too hot other wise even in the winter months.I used to get them all in my bed in the morning, but now i find they are either still in bed when i get up or they are in the front room dressed or with their quilts.I tend to wear my night shirt if i am having a lazy day until mid morning as i just want to relax. The only time i do not get dressed is when i am ill.

Hey there jugsjugs Yeah I think the longest amount of time I usually stay in my pj's is around lunchtime, it doesn't feel right eating lunch in pj's does it? LOL Thanks
