I havent really been afraid of the Dark as i cannot sleep in the Light i have to sleep in pitch black nothing else and i cant sleep in the dark. I dont like walking around the street on my own but if im with a froup of friends and there is a large ammount of us then i feel less scared but other than that im not afraid of the dark.

Not really, but when I first moved to my current house out in the country, I was afraid because it gets really, really dark here at night. There are no street lights. I used to live in the suburbs near a major city and there were streetlights on all the time, It gets reallly dark here but I am generally used to it at this time.

It's weird because, I can honestly say SOMETIMES, I am actually somewhat afraid of the dark. BUT, I love being in the dark because I love the feeling of being somewhat scared, or anxious, and have that adrenaline. I love It!
That's why I'm so addicting to all the ghost shows! I wish I could do it!

Oh yeah, i know the feeling man. I'm not particularly afraid of darkness but a feeling of dread envelopes me always when I'm in the dark. I see things, and i hear things. I know it isn't a rational fear but i just can't explain the feeling of loneliness in the dark. Darkness is known to traumatize millions of children and this fact is used well in horror movies too. They cultivate the fear of the dark.
I tend to keep one light on always so the room isn't completely dark. One recurring sight i see in the darkness is the girl from ring with her hair down moving towards me. I mean i tell myself it isn't real, its from a movie yet my heart beats faster and i move faster to get into a room with light on in it.
Fact: The darkness phobia is known as Lygophobia.

No,i am not afraid of the dark, but I do feel funny being at home alone.I am not afraid of sleeping alone.I need complete darkness to sleep and always sleep in total darkness the darker the better.I get scared staying alone in the dark or the house after watching scary movies. I'm trying to shy away from horror movies.

Hi borhan
Yes like you i have a disliking towards darkness, i think it is because we can't see the surroundings and we can't expect much out in the darkness, it is especially fearful when you have a wild imagination! and i guess i have it!... neways, have a nice day borhan!

No. I'm not afraid of darkness. I feel a sense of calmness in darkness. I like that mood. I like myself being alone in the dark, just me, sometimes talking to myself, spending sometime with myself, which we don't get these days due to our daily schedules.

Hey Borhan,
To be honest I have never ha d a problem with the dark. Even as a little kid my brother or sisters would as my mom to leave the bathroom light on so it wouldn't be to dark i never really saw the point in it. I no it's kind of weird but sometimes it can be peaceful in the dark example being if you have a head ache lie down in a dark room and it will be gone in no time.

When I was a child I was scared of darkness. Maybe it was caused by ghost and monsters stories and I can't help feeling that they are lurking in the dark. I don't feel that wau anymore and can not actually pinpoint a particular point in life when I have recovered from this fear, maybe it happened gradually as I mature and begin to understand the nature of things. I can say that I am not afraid of darkness anymore but in a new environment, I will find darkness somehow eerie. I don't mind darkness in the privacy of my own room. In fact I would prefer it that way.
enjoy!

Hi borhan,
Yes I do, if I am in my native place. Now I am living in a city and there is no question of darkness and if there is no electricity then it may be darkness but I don’t scare this darkness. In my native there are lots of trees around our house and if we look outside in night we will feel scare. When I was staying there I didn’t scared it but now on visit I really scare that darkness and I too don’t know the reason.

I don't fear darkness. Children are unnecessarily scared with darkness. But i believe children should be taught to face darkness without fear right from the time they are kids. Darkness may be the time for illegal and heinous crimes and people who do it should fear it. Otherwise why should one be afraid of darkness. We see the beautiful moon and start lit sky only in the this darkness. A positive approach should be created for every child to get rid of this fear of darkness.
