I know everyone know to do household chores as being taught by your mother in particular. However their are kinds of household chores which I hate to do but I am still oblige to do whether I like it or not as no one is available to take it from me. The most annoying household chores on my list are ironing and washing the dishes. Dishes need to be wash everyday it is a monotonous task, while ironing could be done at least once a week but the pile of clothes is horrendous. Those household chore is kinda tiring and boring.
How about you, What kinds of household chores do you hate most? Kindly shares your thoughts. Thanks.

I hate to wash the dishes after meal. I like cooking and eating. I think it is enjoyable. However, I hate wash dishes after that and this is quite boring. But it is our daily housework and my husband and I have to do it in turn.
I love China

hi youless,
That what i do most of the times too, i like to cook and thus the agreement with my other companion if they like to taste my food they have to agree to wash the dishes or else i would not cook. As it really annoy me just imagine I do the cooking, the serving on the table then after that I am still the one to wash the dishes and if that is done everyday it really feel exhausted at the end of the day. It is a repetitive task and basically very boring but have to do it and you are lucky as your husband help you to lighten your other household chores. thanks

For me the worst one is ironing - so I don't do it! I know that sounds a bit extreme, but what I do is I hang all my washing very carefully and stretch out all the creases as I go so that about 99% of what I wash and wear (for hubby too) doesn't actually need ironing. Obviously there's the odd outfit that needs it - fancy interview outfits, or wedding outfits and that sort of thing, but even then, I tend to try and pick clothing which doesn't need too much attending to in this way. (Btw, I quite like washing up - I can sit on my perch stool and watch the world go by as I do it lol.).

hi vialdana,
yeah, same with me and i hate to do the ironing with a high pile of clothing and it would not bother me much if the clothes is only few. In my place they resolve this wrinkle clothing issues to remove the crease they often use fabric conditioner then after the cloth dry it feels so smooth and their is no need to iron it. In terms of formal occasion i also see to it to iron my clothes so that I would even look pleasing especially if you like to convey a neat and decent images. Well, in terms of washing I could also do it but with few dishes and hate high piling especially if i do it most of the times and everyday is an annoying sights. thanks

I think i dislike ironing as well.. haha =D Though it's only done about once a week, but every shirt has to be ironed really well, and perfect.. haha =D It's tedious, especially when it comes to those shirts or pants, whereby it has really got to be straight!! haha =D
Just imagine if the whole family is working in those companies, needing shirts, pants etc, wont the ironing be mountainous, and taking a long long time?? lol =D

need to be patience have to inspect all the details of the fabric if their still wrinkle or else your boss gonna fire you out...

Actually, I dislike very much to paint the house...
It can be very tedious for me, because I would make sure everything is done perfect. I would have a first coating and second coating and then I would make sure all the edges are perfectly painted. I can be quite fussy in this, and that's why whenever I have a painting job to do, I'll get very2x cranky, LOL..
But once I've done a bit, I'll be very diligent and yeah, the trying to paint perfectly syndrome comes and there you go..

You are right, Neelia.. the pain inhaling might be dangerous.. sometimes I get headaches once I start to paint the house, part and parcel for why I hate painting so much, LOL..
But I like drawing abstracts just for fun, using the watercolor... hmmmmmmm.. magic pen and whatnot..

hi zed-k4,
hey..you know to paint too..well..my father too love to paint..
yeah, you have to paint using the brush with the same stroke as if you apply too much or too little paint it would definitely never look fine..
me like to paint to and have to cover the floor with newspapers so that the dripping would not stain the floor...
but have to cover you nose with mask as you may inhale the fumes it may be dangerous to the lungs..
and after the effort you just have to sit down and marvel on your paint almost perfectly flawless..
what paint are you using the enamel or the acrylic types?

hi again!
there's only two thing that i hate doing but i have to do...doing the laundry & ironing of clothes! both are equally tiring to me...
i hate to do those things but those are also the most essential thing that i have to do in the house aside from cooking...but at least i like cooking, with dish washing, well not much problem about that coz its not that tiring except when there's a lot of dirty dishes, i just hate the long standing while washing the dishes...but anyway, i do have someone here who help me in washing our dishes, so no problem about it...

hi ckyera,
Yeah, both household chores you mention are twins as usual after you wash clothes , hang it dry, then pick it up and the next things is to iron them. Cooking too could not be tiring to do, especially if one is hungry and you have no one to rely on. You need to cook or else you would go hungry. Aside from it their is a need to estimate the time like when your husband would take lunch in your home, you need to cook at least 1 hour in advance before he go home as when he finally arrive all is set and ready for him. The same things to in the evening and in breakfast.
I myself like to cook food intended for afternoon or evening as I could not wake up early in the morning then i do not cook and just have to have a cup of coffee and hot pandesal. Then, at 10 am it is now my time to eat for my breakfast.
In my house too we were only 5 with my sister, parents and 1 niece, then all have shared responsibilities in the household, Just like you it is annoying to wash dishes in my case after a party as the dishes are piling high. Good for you as you have assistance. thanks

Yes nelianoscet, there are houshold work that we hate. Mine is washing the clothes. I usually wash clothes during Saturdays and i really hate doing it. I just can't do anything i have to do it otherwise it will pile up more and that would be a harder job for me. I dont like ironing too. In fact i only iron clothes we need for the week.

hi triplejazzm51,
Washing makes my hands feel cold, all sorts of washing ranging from washing dishes, laundry, cleaning the bathroom and the whole house. Yeah, you are right although some household chores is annoying have to keep it up to do it as what you mention it would just pile up which no one like to happen. It is a quite messing with dirty and unclean surrounding makes a home not a nice home to stay so to keep it smelling clean all over , all need to clean all those stuffs. thanks

I'm really getting tired of washing dishes. I really wish we had a dishwasher. We needed to find a place to live so we just found a place and moved in. We were running out of options so when we found this place we just had to do it. Sadly, when we moved in, we knew we wouldn't have access to a dishwasher and in the beginning it was OK. However, now it's really starting to get old. I'm too tired when I get home from work and my partner is getting tired of washing them all the time so we're kind of locked. We just have to make due.

Hi highflyingxangel,
Well, the truth washing dishes for me is easy but i do not like to wash every day where all my companion just enjoy eating then afterward bring the dirty dishes then do not bother to wash it. It is really annoying to stand for a long time then wash the dishes more than 3 times per day then at the next day you still have to wash it. Especially after party the dishes is piling then if you have no companion it look like a maid works. You could not just sit and relax as no one who would replace you to do it. As they never like their hands to get wet. Yeah, having a dishwasher could be a great help i do not know yet in my place if their are available as mostly the one who uses it are those who engage in restaurant business and sometimes they just wash plates manually. Especially if your hands is shaking due to arthritis it is really annoying to do it everyday. Thus, if you have maid they could do it for you. thanks

hello neelianoscet,

hi robert19ph,
well, cleaning of the house I do it everyday especially the sweeping of the floor and dusting. Though, i am not into ironing, it takes a lot of time and it makes me sweat a lot with the stubborn wrinkle it is hard to make them crease free. About, washing dishes is not a problem too in my places except during part as the dishes piled up. In your cases you have water problem, you could remedy it and all you need to have a large water tank to stored water so that you may not run out of it. thanks.

hihatley,
yeah, washing the dishes makes me mad especially if the dishes are piling high then my other companion would not mind washing their own dishes after they have eaten. That's the best solution just have to buy clothes which are wash and wear and do not have to bother to iron those stubborn wrinkle clothing. Ironing takes a lot of time and one need to be careful not to left the iron longer on the cloth as you may accidentally damage the fabric. thanks

I hate disgusting stuff, like cleaning the bathroom or emptying out and cleaning the garbage bins. I also have a bit of a problem with dusting, considering my allergies. Im so priveliged to share most of the chores with my boyfriend, such as the overall bigger house cleaning every to every second weekend or so. I do the cooking which i like and he puts the dishes in the dishwasher. Another thing i love is the mum of my boyfriend, she does the ironing, dont ask me why, but i certainly dont complain. So my conclusion is the most hated household job i have must be doing the laundry. (mainly the part of folding and putting back on place)

Going up and down that a lot of exercises it would do even better to you..

We do have a washing machine and a drying machine, but it is located on our attic (Dutch people have a weird way of designing their houses) And it is simply just going up and down of the stairs and folding all the clothes that takes time ;) It aint that hard im just to lazy to do that and rather do other things with my time :P

Hi Neelianoscet,
I hate cleaning the ceiling and corner walls –to remove cobwebs and anything that has to do with dust. I have a hay fever allergy. I guess it would be dishwashing for me personally, and that's because I know there is an alternative that can do it for me and save me a lot of time. I dislike household chores which I know can be done more effectively. We had a dishwasher at my parents house and it was so easy rinsing everything off and putting it in the dishwasher right after you have used it. When the day is over you can put in the soap and hit start and whilst the program is running you can use that time to do other household chores, get your paper done or kick back and relax.
I don't mind other chores that just have to be done, but like I said when there is a more effective way I will prefer that.

Whether or not manual dishwashing is cleaner is debatable. When you are manually cleaning your dishes you are not able (or at least I am not) to wash them as hot as the dishwasher does. Also, before you put the dishes in the dishwasher it is important to remove any loose food and dips because the result will be better, just like when you are doing your dishes manually. I guess you will save on electricity, that's true, but on the other hand I do not own a lot of other electrical equipment and with everything new I buy I look at the label and make sure it is as low impact on the environment as possible. If everything in your house is low electricity use you are not only helping yourself to much lower bills, but helping the environment at the same time. So I'll be saving up for a dishwasher once more . Thanks for the counter response.

hi cyberfluff,
That were alright if one have a dishwasher but in my place only few have own it yet and these dishwasher were frequently found only in restaurant and fastfood but still some prefer manual dishwashing since they are more cleaner than the machine operated one since they are saving electricity bills so paying dishwasher is the most appropriate for owner prefer than buying the dishwasher.

Well, ere in my place like in a small fastfood they hire manual dishwasher to wash their dishes and the forks, spoons and glasses are dip in a warm water after they have been wash as a mean to sterilize them then wash again with cold water that is the process just to kill those germs, viruses or any bacteria trace as alternative in case their is no operated dishwasher available. It is really a convenient way to have a dishwasher and I myself would buy that when I save enough since it really helps facilitate the monotonous household chores which i dare not to do every day. Have a nice day!

i do lend a helping hand in all household chores. and i must say that if work is shared then household chores do not become a burden. also it gets done quickly. however if i have to take a pick..it would be washing the dishes especially when cooking here involves a lot of curries and deep frying...that does leave the pots and pans difficult to clean.

hi sunny,
actually I uses to enjoy washing dishes if it is only in a small batch but I hate to wash many plates especially if their is a party then all mu companion is not helping. Many are lazy sitting or watching television then the piles of dishes grows bigger then if not wash immediately the debris tend to stick and it becomes to tough to removes the dirt. Thus, It only right to wash the dishes immediately as I hate to see dirty kitchen sink, though I have no choice but to wash it.Then, the routine becomes boring if you are the same person doing all the household chores everyday while your other companion sits in comfort and relaxing. Then, i also remind them to help and they do not seem to heard and care. Some continue talking while they become not interested when it is all about cleaning and doing other household chores.

when my younger cousin was living with me in my apartment before, i would cook food good for the 2 of us. i would usually eat first because of my work and then when it's her time, she would eat then leave a little or a few of the food from the casserole instead of consuming it all which i think is not much..this way, she would not have to wash the casserole too.
i endured several times but i also reminded her of her habit but it still happened several times..

I don't keep up with the dish washing and I rarely iron now. However, for boring tasks I try to combine it with something fun. With dish washing, I used to do some exercise/stretching while I washed. I cleared a portion of the counter and would put one leg on the counter; later doing the other leg. There's lots of stretching with this and twisting the waist when you put the dishes in the drainer.
For ironing I would set up the ironing board in front of the tv. The time would whiz by.

hi beadguru,
Well, that also happen to me although I have girls companion here they are all lazy and even though I make a complain they would likely to fall to deaf ears. They are also like your companion when it comes to eating they are very fast but when it comes to washing the dishes most of them escape it. Thus, like you i end up reminding them, and have no choice but to clean all the dirty stuffs.
I appreciate your patience as it only mean you are very sensitive and not lazy. You are willing to sacrifices and ot easily get angry as some who experience the same things with you would always shout or feel angry to their insensitive companion. I do hope they could learn to help you to as even in other homes the duty of washing dishes is not only a girl thing and most men know also to wash their own dirty plates without depending on their women. thanks for sharing. have a great day!

yeah, I always tell them that they should also do the dishes sometimes but they just won't listen to me. I even tried to arrange with them the you-wash-your-own-plate scheme but to no avail. They will rush out of the dining room after eating as if they are in some kind of a race. Even if I'll let the dishes stay in the sink for sometime, hoping that somehow one of them might have a change of mind and do the dishes for me, in the end I'm the one who will still do it.
I even suggested that we just use disposable plates, spoon, fork, etc. in eating. But of course, I'm also thinking of the adverse effects of non-biodegradable materials in our environment.
