I wonder these days most of the people are turning into gadget savy. It may be because gadgets make life simpler and some times a status symbol too. Ofcourse, what ever may be the reason, few common mistakes are most often people fall before they buy an electronic gadget. As a hobby i did a bit more study on gadgets as well purchasing them. Today i wish to share my experiences in a few consolidated steps. Just make a tyr, these steps, next time when you go for a new gadget.
1. Make a list of all the input/output ports (sockets) on a paper. If you are not clear about some of the sockets, then you should also write down its purpose in few words.
2. Check your existing gadgets in your home to which you wish to hook-up and make a list of i/o sockets.
3.Now tyr matching the new gadget i/o socket list with the existing (proposed) gadgets i/o socket list. Make sure every time you match an input socket of same kind with an output socket on another gadget. Plot matching lines between the lists. Its not compulory that all of the sockets match with every other socket. Not is the crusial stp, you take this list to the showroom where you wish to buy a new gadget. Ask for the sales man atleast fewof your matched sockets can be hooked up. Because even though the sockets match in your list, some times the protocols dont match. So finally you can find a gadget that has more matching sockets as you wished in your list. Buy the gadget and get home, hook-up into all your gadgets and maximise your joy.
