I have been a little bit of both. It seems that I cant find a job that has a more than a temporary status. I have been submitting applications to everyone that would take one. I dont know what to do.. I am in need of a job! Any job! How about you? What's your status?

I have not found any work, although I have been putting applications in left and right. I am online trying to find ways to make money online just to keep things afloat. My husband works part-time which helps out a little. I do a couple of survey's, but I really do not get paid much. I have a couple of things to sell on ebay which I am still looking into.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and can not find work in this field. Now it has gotten to the point where I am looking all over the place for any job including retail and fast food.
Best of luck to you and hang in there. Just remember things can only look better.

I know exactly how you feel friend. I am also unemployed. I have filled out hundreds of application. I got a few interviews. To be quite honest I wasnt upset that I didnt get hired. The job was for 10 hours a week. All the trouble I'd have to go thru just to get there wasnt worth it. If it was more hours then I would've more upset that they didnt call. I am handing in several more tomorrow. Somethings gotta give. Let us hope it gives in soon. I will keep my fingers crossed for both of us. Matter of fact for all of the unemployed. Happy MyLotting. dl

I don't say that am working but am a full time doing online jobs. Because I believe making from working any office or outside jobs is the same as money we get from online jobs...Need more patient and extra efforts to make more...Have a nice day!

If it is not too much trouble, could you please send me some of the links you use to make money online. This would be a tremendous help. My husband and I only have one car and with him working part-time we never know one day from the next what hours he will be working. I have been looking for work, but have had no success.

I guess you could say I'm a little of both too. I stay at home with my son during the day but I clean a few houses a month. When I clean those houses I will have my grandma or a family friend to watch my son. I don't want a full time job though and we can make it financially on just my husband working full time and me cleaning a few houses. If I get more houses that's fine but I don't want to do it all day everyday.

I am so happy for you and your family. If I had one wish I would wish to be in your shoes. You dont know how lucky your are. I look at my fiance and feel so bad that he has taken on my bills as well. I love him so much. I am afraid he'll get tired. He keeps telling me he loves me and that's what loves about. I hope I get a job soon. dl

I'm currently unemployed, by choice and I'm lucky enough (and old enough and female enough) to receive a small benefit from the government. I also live in a remote area where there is not much work. While it is not recognised as work I maintain my home and take care of myself, something a lot of people around here don't seem able to do.
As well, I'm a volunteer driver for the community where I live. As we in this village are classified "remote", the aged, disabled or those not able to drive are able to make use of my services to go shopping, to doctors appointments or hospital. The service is operated through a local government agency.

Hello dloveli...I have no doubt that you'll find a job...try not to dwell on what you don't have, be grateful for and take care of what you do have, also, use your imagination to think about the sort of job you would love, imagine doing that job, you can do this. A job will be there before too long. Sometimes when we get stressed, we tend to lean over towards negativity. And hold on tight to that gorgeous man of yours...he's a honey and a keeper.

I swear you're my long lost twin!lol I am unemployed not by choice and If I dont get some money soon, I dont know what I'll do. My fiance has been wonderful. If it wasnt for him, I would have lost what little I have. He is my saving grace. He pays all the bills. Plus my personal bills. He paid for my daughter's school clothes and all. Her own father sucks. What can I tell you I was stupid and young. VERY STUPID! Anyways back to you. Please send a little positivity my way. I want your life. I love the idea of living in a small village like situation. I live in a big city and its terrible. I wish I could get a small pension. In fact I believe I could if I really tried. Medically I have a bunch of issues that would be better served if I wasnt working and getting well deserved rest. I hope you and yours are in best of health and harmony. Happy MyLotting and keep your fingers crossed that I may find work soon. dl

Right now, I'm unemployed out of choice. My previous employers still want me back. But I found I was rushing through everything in my personal life and was too tired of it. So, I quit. I haven't worked at too many places and all my employers don't want to let me go..lol. I quit my first job...because we were relocating to another country...and then I got married...had my kids. Started in a different career line after my older sonw as 5...but then it got too much when my little one came into the picture...so I quit.

You are so lucky to have the choice. My husband doesnt want me to work. I keep explaining that we need money. He says that money isnt everything and that all our bills are paid. I like to be able to buy something if I choose to not have to scrimp and scrounge. Which we still do from time to time. Enjoy your time and embrace your children. Happy MyLotting dl

Hi dloveli. I'm unemployed. Have been for over 12 years now. After I found out that I was pregnant with my oldest I quit the part time job that I had and have been a stay at home mom ever since.
That might change though if the economy keeps going the way it is. Then I'll be looking for a job too. And with being as old as I am and with not much job experience under my belt I'm afraid I'm going to have a hell of a time finding a job if it comes down to it.
Right now I'm trying to earn a little money online. I didn't want to resort to doing this, but at this point I'm willing to try it and see how it goes.
Good luck and happy mylotting!

Well Shamrack, I must say that you are bvery lucky to have a job at this time. I havent been able to get so much as an interview in the last month. I have my own jewelry business but I am not online yet. I am trying to figure out how to do it. I am not that computerally(is that a word? it is today) inclined. I envy you. I will say this you have made some good choices as far as your business and employment are concerned. THe fact that you are still in business and employed with all the layoffs and downsizing says alot about you. Congrats my friend. dl

Well said my friend! I am glad you see it like that. I was working a job that I really liked. The only problem was that the other employees were young and immature. One of the girls I was bery suspicious of. THe next thing I knew I was being called in the office questioned about things found around my register. I began to understand. She was trying to steal things and blame it on others. I reported her and the next thing I knew every little mistake I made was a big issue. I have worked in retail for over 15 years. I know my stuff. Eventually I had to leave before they blamed me for something horrible. After I left, The store was raided and its employees were arrested. They were stealing merchandise and selling it out the back as if it were a pick up. Thank heaven's I wasnt there! Now I am suffering with absolutely no cash. dl

DONT you dare QUIT! I did that and now Im regretting it. I dont want anyone to feel the way I do. My life right now is tough. I have a daughter who requires certain meds to live and I dont know how I will get the $20 to pay for it. Food is a dream. Many nights I go to bed hungry because I only have enough for my girl. It sucks. I have no one. SO I live with this nightmare on my mind every day. The guilt is immense. Please dont leave until you have another. dl

I am working as a teacher. I love my job and I am passionate about it. But passion is not enough, it will not feed you. I have yet to find a part-time job to earn more. Currently, I am working on websites like mylot as a source of a little bit of passive income.

I was a teacher's assistant for five years. I worked with the special needs and disabled. I moved on to adults and then kind of went from there. Teaching is a profession that you can definitely feel as though you are doing something to help society as a whole. GOOD choice. dl

I am currently working. Thank God that despite the problems in economy our company is managing survival. Yes I believe it is so hard to find jobs now, I hope someone reply to your application because christmas is approaching. I feel blessed having a regular job although the salary is not enough. i do find ways to make it just enough by participation on my online money making. Do you know that even I have a job until now I can't save money. Because it is wrong to depend on just one job , you need two or three or a part time job rather, to save money. It is really important that you have a money . It is really important that you have money for emergency. Happy job hunting to you and may God bless your resume for future employment.

I am unemployed and have been for a long time. I am caregiver for my 85 year old mother and babysitter for my 4 year old grand daughter. I don't know where I can find a job, but I know that I am going to have to have a job so that I can pay for health insurance.
