Where have all the Active Lotters Gone?

I wonder what is happening to all the active friends in mylot. My notifications seems to be slow and thinning. Have I been out of touch with mylot for a while that keeps me out of rhythm with what is going on here? I hope it is not the case of dying interest in mylot that keeps many away from posting here.
Year end is drawing nearer and it seems many are already looking forward to a great holiday but hopefully members will not ditch this place for good. There might be a better place to hang around in the cyberworld but hopefully mylot will not become a ghost site with only few left to keep this place going. The present situation is very pathetic as less and less people are coming to mylot which means many posts will receive reduced number of responses. It will have adverse impact on the spirit of mylotting when one don't get the desired result to their posts. Do you think the wind of change is about to blow in mylot or is already blowing away some of the active members here? I hope admin will keep mylot more attractive to members by having more incentives in order to stop the drain of active lotters from leaving this place.

Oh yes, you noticed. I was out of touch here in Mylot for more than 6 months due to a call for my profession - I had to review for the Bar Exam and taking the exam after the review. But, am back and ready to post again. I have notice the same. Friends who are responding to my new discussions now are new to me. The friends who used to respond to my discussion and those who are always to be seen on top of my friends discussion are no longer to be seen. Where are they now?
I missed Mylot when I was temporarily absent. But, I can start anew and explore with new friends here.
I also have no idea where these avid Mylotters gone. I'm glad you are still here and still kicking with Mylot.

Oh, not yet a lawyer my friend. With God's grace, I will be a lawyer next year because the Bar exam result will still be out by March or April of 2010. 
Nice to know that you found permanency here at Mylot. I guess, even I will be a busy lawyer eventually, I would still love to come back visiting Mylot because I enjoy the discussions. I don't bother much of the earnings I get here rather the sharing of opinions and learning others' opinions. I am satisfied with what I earn here, it is fair enough.

Dear Zandi,
I am still around...
, I too felt the same.
For the past one week, I had problem with my PC, send for
repair and it cost me RM310 to change the 'motherboard, and
CD player. Got it back, but have problem with responding myLot.
It just can't post any response, do not know why. I am now using
my sister notebook to do myLotting.
Secondly, due to backlog, I have to comments on all the responses
that I received for the past 4 weeks... Now, I am available and
back to myLot and responding! I hope to see everyone here active
and happy :)

With the busy times of the holidays coming it is bound to taper off a little. Personally I got so busy with work I almost forgot about this place. But now that I am back and posting, I so realize how much I missed it and the people here. Coming here usually gives me a few good laughs or a little insight to include in my day.

That is where the fun is. When I am in mylot I smile and laugh a lot reading the responses to my discussions. My only witness during those happy hours is the screen in front of me. . Mylot does keep our sanity intact when we lost touch with our real world friends.

Maybe there ar most active mylotters here are having a hectic schedule with their work and they can't even log in or check the mylot accounts.Sometimes we can't manage that our time is still they same for gaining the priority of our mylot accounts.I agree with you that the admin should still do something that active mylotters still find mylot more attractive to gain friends,learn something and more high to earn compare now.

Do you think the admin is seriously looking into the welfare of its members? I doubt. They would not even reply to our contacts with them. I hope they can plan good strategies to compete with the many upcoming social sites and not take for granted the present good record they have. I hope they won't wait until all the good lotters leave. The blend of the old and new make mylot an interesting site.

Some of them (us) have offline things to atend too Zandi and are missing for this reason.
Another reason why you are not getting as many notifiers could be because a great number of dicussions are receiving many pages of responses and there are discussions taking place inside the main discussions. Several Lotters are invilved with those rather than starting their own.
Have you noticed how many new users that there are too? Maybe you could try adding some of them (to take the place of some oldies that have lost their accounts). Things are by far from quiet here it is just tht things are changing and not to worry becuase the ones that are missing will be back

I understand that Diana as I myself have been busy lately and have been out of my house for the past 3 weeks attending to some personal matters in another place. But I noticed the drastic drop of my dear friends who used to be here regularly. Yes I have been adding new friends too but that doesn't replace the friends I use to interact here. Hopefully this is only temporary and they will be here again.

@mysdianait. I know that you are the guru for helping people. I have not had any notifications of my friends' emails since the glitch about 3 weeks ago. I have sent 3 complaints to Mylot but have not had a response from them either. Not one notification that a friend has posted and this is more than frustrating. Please I would be so grateful if you have any advice as to what I should do.

hi zandi I was wondering the same thing myself and hoping
maybe some were just off on vacations or some other thing
and not just dropping out of mylot. I miss a lot of familiar
user names lately too and wondered what was going on?
There seems to be a lot of new names but I am missing some
who have been here longer than myself. I know some are
caught in this bad economy and are job searching like
crazy. well lets hope whatever it is,is temporary.

I noticed that too. Many of the veterans are no longer active in mylot. The newbies are good too but lack the sting in their discussions. They need to familiarize themselves well to this place first so they can feed our mind with more interesting posts. Hope those experienced mylotters do not ditch this place. I enjoy reading their interesting posts.

I don't know if i'm not getting notifications or what but this is the first thing i have had from u in awhile. I don't hear from alot of people i use to hear from & don't see them on other discussions either. I miss them. I hope nothing happens to mylot i'd be lost. Hope all is well w/you.

it has been a bit dull here lately. But when I woke up this morning I was surprise to see many notifications in my mail. I am fine but a bit tied up with some dealings in the real world. Will be back as usual soon. I do hope you are doing fine too.

Hey zandi! Yes, I have noticed this too for quite awhile now. And the payment
scale here at mylot has really gotten quite low. I seem to post as much as
I used to and make quite a bit less money. I do know that many of out friends
have given up being here and gone to Facebook. I just am not interested in
being a part of that site. It is just a bit too personal for me. I am not
interested in giving up that much personal information about myself. I am
looking for people in my past to find me or to find them. There is just something
about the way that Facebook is set up that bothers me. I came to Mylot because
it was not your regular forum and I will stay here because it is the place I want
to be. I am hoping that enough of my friends will stay here, but either way I
will stay and enjoy the discussions.

I'm hoping it's just cyclical. One of my regulars seems to be going through some sort of personal glitch and rarely appears, one is on what seems to be an extended holiday, one has a new boyfriend, and the others are mostly MIA or AWOL. Hopefully they will return one day.

I have noticed that I am not hearing from the older members here as much as I used to but I still get quite a few notifications from newer users that I have befriended and I am as busy as ever here every day. I don’t always have the time to do as much as I would like or to start as many discussions but I’ll get there. Sometimes life takes over and we are pushed to attend to other things. I guess things will quieten down even more now that we are approaching Christmas, that is usually a busy and hectic time for most people.
Don’t lose hope things will pick up again soon.

I hope those older members have not pensioned off. At this time of the year, everyone is getting busier with the coming year end holidays and with religious ceremony like All souls day etc..is fast approaching. I am still around here as usual meeting the newer members when the older ones are no where to be seen.

I noticed that too whenever new tasks are in, it seems like the mylotters are disappearing... Sharon Bucks' tasks are real good deal but it can eat lots of our time too... It has been really dull in here lately .

we get new poeple in here all the time.they are just havent started posting it seems. also many dont have notify on so we dont get thier emails.
Some of them have had comp. issuse hope they get settled sooon and the people get back in here.
With kids back in school you would think we would have alot back!.
I still get alot of emails tho maybe not as many as usual as like you they just havent been around!

I have not been very active lately for a couple reasons. First, I had a few vacations over the summer so I wasn't on the computer as much. Then I got totally hooked on some Facebook apps... Now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. A few things have changed around here, but I'm hoping to run into the same groups I had been in before.

I too have been busy of late. Part of it work, part of it personal.
Mylot is too good a site to leave for good. I sure hope the few regulars here will remain as regulars. And keep the site going.

Yeah,I notice it too and for a for more than a weeks the Mylot look like a ghost town. Maybe, some members are busy with their work and family they could not frequently visit this site or they have other reasons. Well, that is a nice suggestion some incentives may invites other members to be active again and keep this site much alive and longer.

This is exactly my question. Its ok that I was too inactive kinda for several days together but what about the big wigs? They were never seen off the track for a long time but this time it is different. No discussion from the oldies nor there seems to be any rhythm of life flowing over here.
What is this after all? I do not think they have gotten a different and better place than this to hang out.
Or is it the mylot task again? But whatsoever happening is casting a gloomy look and hope it would be sunny again and throbbing with life..
