relationship with senior

most of people to promote theme self make relationship with senior for limited time
and after when they get promotion they leave him/her.
What u think it's correct to make relationship with senior for promotion?

Obviosly any relation with any one due to any cause only is merely the selfishness and this does not have any logic or loyality.
i also like to say due to those kind of relationship a seniour some time can do disjustice with his profession. so i would suggest to have a good relation with any body but dont go with some one who has a cause for this.
