the connection goes off while mylotting!

The computer at home is not a present version but its okay for me as long i have my connection and go mylotting whenever i want. Our connection here is set up to goes off if someone calls (yet, to my mother insisting not to buy the router so the phone will be available even though you're using the internet) i have been writing a few minutes ago a long discussion in which i've being thinking for days now, i typed it and im really happen because it turns out be a great and very insighful one, but when i clicked "start discussion" someone called! the connection goes off and i loss all my writings. now im really pissed off and thinking giving my mother an advance gift for her next year birthday "a router/ modem to use" so the connection will not go off even if someone call us" did this happen to you also? or maybe do you get annoyed that someone bother you while mylotting? happy mylottting and happy earning guys!
