Well I had a job delivering those little papers door to door, but I don't know if I really count that as I only did it for a couple of weeks before I got attacked by a German Shephard and my mom made me quit. Then there was babysitting, but if you don't count babysitting the first hob where I actually got a check and had taxes taken out and all that was at a department store called Montgomery Ward. I worked in the housewares department. I sometimes did cashiering for other departments and relieved people for breaks sometimes. I worked there for 2 years but got let go at Christmas time because my family was going to visit family in a different state and I had to go with them. They didn't want anyone taking off time at Christmas, but it was not like I could help it. I was 17 years old if my parents wanted me to go I had to go.

My first job was when I was 14 years old I handled the switchboard, it was an old trunk switchboard, at a girls residence for the University where we lived. I really felt old one day years later when I went to a museum and they had a trunk switchboard that they had no idea how to use and they asked me to show them how it worked. MAN DID I FEEL AGED.

My first job was at the local football (soccer) stadium in one of the food kiosks, serving pies, drinks, etc. It did not pay much at all but I used to be able to watch the 2nd half of the matches which I loved.

My first job was cutting the grass for my parents and the neighbor who was a little elderly. During the summer i would make $45 a week and that was plenty for to get by. Learning responsibility from our first job always preps us in different ways to get ready for the real world.

My first job was working at a McDonald's in the next town. It would an ok for when you're in high school. I definitely wouldn't want to go back though. I hated going home at night, smelling like onions and dirty water.

My first job was working with my dad in construction. My first real job was at KFC/Taco Bell when I was 16. I worked there with my sister. We usually had to same shift, so we always had fun together. The food we would come up with was great.
