I won a bid at e-bay about four weeks ago, and I paid for it through paypal. And still I haven't received the item. The initial statement of the seller was, I will receive the item after 3 weeks upon delivery, so I contacted them upon the third week, they said that they made a mistake. Items shipped to the Philippine will take about six weeks to be delivered, for some international strict something. They gave me an option of a full refund immediately, they were very nice, but I really wanted the item, so I told them, I'd wait for another 3 weeks, if the item would not arrive, I'll request for full refund or reshipping of the item through another courier. I got so excited when I won the item, but now I'm kind of disappointed, not kind of, really really disappointed.

I've purchased things through ebay many times and I've never had a problem with it. We did order something one time that had to ship from Hong Kong and it took about 5-6 weeks to get the item, but we did receive it and it was in the condition that was promised to us.
Now, when I do shop on ebay, I am really picky about what I am trying to get. I always judge the sellers reputation and if that is not so good, then I won't buy from them. I also never buy high dollar items on ebay as I have a friend who was burned through that once.

I have purchased 40+ items on 3 different auctions including ebay. If you buy used items check them out for performance immediately. Make sure of the return allowance. Always check and leave feedback. Stay in contact with seller. Right now I finally have a seller that is MIA. I believe I was his 1st sale and he has 6 more. Finally reported him to admin. and left 2 F's on feedback. I'm still gullible enough to think that he'll come thru.

I hope you receive your item soon. I won't buy anything on ebay the two times I did I got something that wasn't what it was supposed to be and had to send the item back and it took forever to get my money back. That was a couple of years ago and I won't buy anything else from them. I just can't afford to wait for the item and then have to return it and wait again for my money to be returned. Burn me once not twice. Good luck on your item. Hope it is what you paid for.

I did get my money back took a few months but I finally got back most of my money any way, I only got back part of it but it was more then half. When you buy anything or ebay they have a insurance thing you can buy and be sure to get everything back. I should have got that before I brought but I didn't know that some dealers on ebay sold stuff that wasn't any good. I am sure your buy will be great and you will not have a problem I think it was just a fluke that I got burnt on what I brought. Good luck and enjoy your new product.

I have bought stuff from ebay a LOT....
Only once did i never recieve the item i paid for but that was in the beggining when i first joined....
You just have to be very careful who you buy from and ALWAYS check their feedback ....I wont even consider buying from anyone with less than 95% positive and even then i go through ALL of their feed back comments and see what exactly those that left negs complained about.....
I tebd to purchase more often from those with 97% or higher...and i still always read their comments....and i try to stick with U.S. sellers but i have bought from taiwan a couple times with no problem.
If you paid through pay pal you can open a dispute and the seller will have to provide proof that they sent it....
often paypal will refund you your money....

The seller was very nice, so I think I won't have the trouble of refund if I want one. They have offered refund the first time I asked, they offered it in exchange for a positive feedback. If this item won't arrive, I won't buy from an international seller again on e-bay. I'll just keep using multiply.

I have purchased lots of things form ebay. With the exception of 1 thing which was not what I thought - I think it was my fault in misreading the item.
everything has usually shipped fine and arrived to me promptly.
I even bought my car on ebay! I love it. it cost me $600 to ship it to me but I save about $8000 on the car so it was worth it. It was only 2 years old and only 36k miles on it. I got it for a steal.
now I also use BigCrumbs when I buy anything form ebay so that I get money back after the purchase. I wish I had it before I got my car- I would have got a ton of money back for that.
Good luck- I hope your item arrives soon.

I wish you can receive your item as soon as possible. I did not shop a lot at ebay, but i know if you did not receive your order PayPal would not transfer your money to the seller.
don't feel so upset, it happens often, especially when it's international transation. they are ordinary sellers, they can make mistakes also many things are beyond their control.
here the Royal Mail is on strike, I look forward to my letters arriving. I also feel down, but what can I do? it's life.

Watch for their credentials. If they are a power seller than they wouldn't risk their reputation. If their credentials are small, the risk is a lot higher.
Just to clarify when small, it is around 0-20

I'm sorry you had this problem. Sometimes costumes slow things down in some countries. If you have a problem you can contact Ebay and Pay Pal, as they will back you up.

I'm sorry that you haven't gotten your item yet. Was it coming from the US? I have purchased things through ebay before but I haven't purchased anything lately. One time I bought a dvd for my son and it took forever for the woman to ship it. She actually only lived up the road from me. I didn't know it until the item was shipped and I saw the return address on it though. I could have went and picked the movie up instead of waiting for her to ship it. She lives in the same city as me and it took about 4 weeks for it to get to me because she didn't ship it on time. She waited a long time before she sent it out. I had to keep emailing her and asking when it was going to get here. I think I finally aggravated her enough that she finally sent it. I hope you get your item soon cause I know sometimes we don't want to keep waiting that long on what we want now. lol

I've purchased a few things from eBay. I mainly buy electronic sort of things but I have bought books (for personal and for school reasons) in the past. I've bought things on there since 2004 and every item I have received I have been happy with.
Unfortunately that all changed last week.
Sunday two weeks ago I won a pair of sunglasses with a camera hidden in it. I was hoping to use it for fun (I do videos on YouTube as well as to help record stuff at get togethers and whatnot) and potentially for business purposes as I've been thinking for a while about becoming a private investigator.
I was pretty excited about them for two weeks. Friday they came and they would not work properly. The glasses would not come or record on most of the day and when they would, the video was jerky and messed up.
I've been writing the seller for the past few days. He actually had the nerve to tell that he would send me a better pair if I paid $15 more. I read the email thinking, "You sent me a faulty pair to begin with and I had to wait two weeks for. The least you could do is let me have them for the same price or considerably lower." Given that the new pair might be faulty, $60 is a lot to pay.
It seems that he's had a recent history of sending faulty items to people and people having some trouble with the seller so I'm just going to ask for my money back. I can buy a brand new pair on Amazon for just $25 more than what I'd paid for that. At least there an actual website who sells them is selling them through Amazon.
So I know what you mean about being really disappointed.

I've purchased 2 items in ebay already, a N series WiFi USB dongle (mini) and a 32GB flash drive. The arrival of the items are more than 3 weeks actually and my seller was very attentive to my inquiries regarding the items when it didn't arrive 3 weeks (as expected).
What I was disappointed is the functionality of my N series WiFi USB dongle, which is supposed to be at better speed and wireless coverage. But it's not, my laptop's built-in wireless g has much better connection, detection and coverage.

Yes I've purchased a couple of things off of ebay and they have all been really good quality products. I've also sold a few things on ebay and made some money. Ebay overall is a really reliable website that gives both buyers and sellers good opportunities to either spend or make money.

i have both purchased and sold on Ebay and there are a lot of problems that can come up. If I had to give advise I would check the sellers score. If they do not have above a 95% I would not buy from them. Why not 100% because let's face it there are always those who complain. I had one lady who complained because she didn't like that I put the item in a plastic bag inside the box I sent it in (something I do in case water gets to it). As for what happened to you that is why people don't trust anyone on there.

Strangely enough, I've never had any major problems with eBay, and have purchased plenty of items from it before. I've heard of many eBay "horror" stories before from either friends or family, and simply keep my fingers crossed that they never happen to me.
Although, I must say that I definitely prefer Amazon overall. I find that they deliver items much faster and in generally better packaging. Seriously, sometimes the packaging that sellers shove their items in is absolutely disgraceful, and I know it's only a matter of time before it results in faulty products :(

I bought several times from Ebay and I had mixed experiences. Most of the things I ordered arrived safely but others which did not, I filed disputes and Paypal eventually refunded the money. You should also look at the possibility of the post office in the Philippines. In my experience when I was still there, most of the packages from relatives abroad never arrived unless it was a registered mail or through reputable courier services like DHL, UPS. Was it registered by the seller or just ordinary mail? It could also happen that even if it was registered, somebody could still pilfer the mail at the post office.

No, I've never actually purchased anything from ebay. I've tried to bid on some things, but I always lose. My friend Renee, however, had good success with it.

Oh boy...I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope you didn't get cheated. It's happened to me only once out of the 10 times I've bought something on ebay. I had to file a paypal dispute. I've also had misdelivery problems too..it's no fun, especially when you're excited about getting that item and you expected it within a certain time :(

Hi kafueeno! I'm so sorry for what you are experiencing right now. I've purchased items from Ebay before too but it did not come from China though. Maybe they are really having issue with regard to international shipping. Please be patient about it for the meantime because i see how excited you are to have your items. You have until November to wait, I am right? Did you check for the seller's feedback? Hopefully you did and they are getting positive. You have an option to backed out and demand for a full refund too if you are thinking twice about it already. This way you wont waste your time waiting so long and will have your back money. After all, you have all the items to choose from in E-bay. :)
