Do you celebrate Halloween?

In American films and shows it seems that everyone in the US celebrates Halloween, being more of a party. In other parts of the world they celebrate All Saints day the next day 1st November which is more sombre as families go to the cemetery with candles and flowers to remember their departed. Now I have noticed that more and more people I know are having Halloween parties where they dress up even though it is not a traditional festival here. So do you celebrate Halloween? Do you dress up and hold parties or does it not appeal to you or does not exist where you live?

Hi, Leeloo!
In my place, we never celebrated Halloween at house. There are no 'treat or tricks' at my place. I don't know about other people because Halloween has become too commercialized and they could be adopting this tradition just for fun.
Most of the celebrations will be held at the clubs or some entertainment outlets where everybody will wear the Halloween costumes. I have never dressed up in any of the costumes before though and I don't really bother, but I have no issues because I love pumpkins! I wonder why they use pumpkins??

I live in Canada and I've loved Halloween since I was little. Lots of people here decorate their homes. I don't go trick or treating anymore, I'm too old! I just decorate my house and I don't usually dress up either. I live out in the country up a hill so we don't even get trick or treaters,oh well. I have lots of decorations though. I probably have been collecting stuff for 15 years! When my mom was a kid Halloween wasn't that big a deal but it sure is now.

I do, I really don't make much of a deal of what many people say about it "don't celebrate halloween", "it's worship of the devil", etc.
It's just a party, fun, whatever happened (if it happened) back in the days, that was then, nobody is getting hurt by putting up a costume and asking for candy.
There are some freaks out there, that's true but they're there all year long so don't blame it on halloween.
