Do You Find Yourself Racing Home From Work Just So You Can Post Here?

I know a lot of us are lucky enough to still have Full time jobs. Some of you might work really close to your home, or live about 45 mins. away like me. I was just wondering how many of you race home, or even have told your co-workers that you cannot wait to get home so that you can post here in myLot and then have people ask more questions from there.
Truthfully, there are many times that I personally cannot wait until I get home especially when it has been a long stressful day to get a chance to sit down and post in here. It may even seem like sometimes the anticipation of being able to actually get on here makes the drive home even more worth while. I feel like myLot is definately my second home, and since I have made so many Great friends here, I feel that you have helped me overcome a lot of things as well.
So if you are like me, and cannot wait to get home and post in here, I am sure you are glad you are able to read and respond to this. If you are reading this from work, hope you are having Fun being here as well. Happy Posting to All!!

I only work part time, but between the 25 hrs of my job and generally 7 more hours that I try to spend with my mom (missed a couple of hours today because the roomie had a couple of dr appts) I pull a pretty full week for a retired person
However, I do really enjoy coming home, grabbing an iced tea or soda and plugging away at mylot at least until the roomie gets off work at 6.
Then I stop while we fix something to eat or go shopping or whatever else we need to do and then I get back on for a while.
Most nights it can be several more hours, but some nights it may just be long enough to delete stuff I don't want to bother with (not mylot stuff - that needs to be looked at first!)
Fact is that I am one of 2 moderators on a couple of Yahoo groups, and the 3rd on another. I generally am off the hook for doing the mod duties, but there are times when I do have to do the work, then I have to look at those things.
I also have to look at the stuff that comes in from Freecycle in case there's anything I might want - or a response to what I might've posted.
Finally, there are some other yahoo groups I'm in that I read the posts of. So those things can be read and deleted, but they do have to be looked at. But they don't have to be dealt with like the mylot stuff does.

Actually I find my time so limited since I moved with my commute back and forth to work, etc. that I am lucky to get time enough to do all I want too for sure. But I do know lately I have been slacking with my Yahoo groups for sure, but do try and keep up with the ones I have made some Good caring friends in for sure.

I find I have to be selective on some of my groups. I joined a couple of yahoo groups because I thought they were going to be craft posting, but it turned out they were mostly selling stuff so I quit them. They had names like "crafts-for-free" ya know - but 95% (except on Sunday) were "I want to sell some of my stash" and Sunday were mostly "please pray for me" - boring!

No, I dont but I might try to find some things to post about when I am going to work. I might get a little bit of time to do something tomorow. I will have to wait and see how the day goes. It could be a bit hairy. I'm sure I will post sometime though because I want to make sure I cash out this month.

Boy do I know about things getting a little hairy to where you wonder if you can ever get everything done you want too. I think I have seen a lot of them myself lately, but know myLot is a Great place to come and release some of the tensions from some of this as well. Wishing you the Best with being able to reach your goals.

For me this is work!! LOL In the traditional sense I am unemployed. I do find myself reading interesting things at the coffee shop, or having interesting thoughts, and wanting to write them down the minute I get home, and sit down at my computer. Maybe I need to start carrying my laptop with me. LOL

I see that we share the same sentiment about mylot. The only difference is I am not working but having an active night life. I run a pub and while waiting for customers I would log in to mylot and post discussions. There are times when I am really engrossed in mylotting I wish that no customers will come so that I won't be disturbed while I am in mylot.

I try to post as often as possible here but i haven't rushed things just to have time to read and post discussion, not yet at least but i think I'm getting there. But i do think of new questions to post even if I'm not logged in or doing something else.

I do enjoy being on mylot, but I can't say that I anticipate to the point of not beign able to wait to post in here. To be honest, today I have hardly been on here at all because I am also on gather. I just rejoined today, or well yesterday! I love to read and respond to your posts though Tina!

I have never really been active in Gather myself. Not sure how you even earn there actually. But wishing you the Best.

Hi dear!
I prefer to reach home, once I am off from my office, as soon as possible. I know that more time I have, more time I can devote on mylot. However, on reaching home, I dispose of essential household jobs and take some rest, before plunging on to mylot discussions. For me also, it is like a second home and great stress buster to relieve myself from the tensions of the day. It always feels great to talk, converse and exchange thoughts with friends, here on mylot.

I post here when I am on conference calls that don't need my full attention. :-)
When I get home, it's dinner and homework and the kids hogging the computer until 9 or so...

I don't rush to get to mylot but if I don't tune in at least once a day I feel guilty about not helping my friends.

I work from home and every day I cannot wait to finish all the chores I have to do so I can get back to MyLot. I love it here and look forward to logging in. I hate it when it is time to stop too!

well don't you just find yourself typing for money? Well, because you know that you will earn money just for typing you will do it!!
And do you not find that you just type for the sake of it!!
You just want to get the the min payout on mylot!!
I think that is the same with all of us.
We would not be here right now if mylot was not paying or was not here!!
But because it is, it has made it into the top 10 websites ever made!!
Thanks for reading and happy mylotting!!

If I am going to be home alone, this is where I come. No such thing as rushing home though, as my job just automatically takes lots of time. It is a good place to unwind. I like being here, these are my friends and I learn stuff from many people.

For me it really depends. I go through time periods where I'm not that interested in posting here and then there are time periods where I'm definitely interested in coming home and posting here. Sometimes I'm ready to go home and relax by posting here because I need that time to unwind. Then there are times when I come home and I'm quite fine not posting here. Sometimes I just need a break from Mylot so I can actually keep my interest. Without taking breaks there are times where I'd just give up and not give my possible best while here.

hi tina I feel so guilty at times knowing most of mylot friends are working while I sit here able to mylot at any time I want
practically. Of course I do take time out to socialize at our
programs here but hurry back to mylot again afterwards. I am 83 in November so maybe I did earn my stripes. also I did work until I was 80. I do so love mylotting and all the great friends I have
here.and was so glad to be back here again on the net, after all I have been through. Also mylotting eases my feelings at having to be in a retirement center instead of in our apartment again. some day my son says he will get that job and we will again share an apartment. but jobs are so scarce here it is really sad. so many people are out of work and looking and not getting jobs. I am
glad to be here with a roof over my head, three meals a day and a home of sorts. I am glad that i am able to respond to your discussion too.

Ha, not so much with me. I race home, but it's usually just for the sake of getting home in a good/short amount of time. I don't immediately come on after work, though, because some of the time I come on MyLot is actually AT work when I have a lull in business and it gets slow (since I've shamefully found a way to get on the internet without them knowing now. lol.)
