I've read from somewhere that you really have lessen or prevent having menstrual cramps if you maintain a balance diet. I can only remember then that you need to eat oranges a week before you expect your period.
Do you have any diet or do you know anything about this and does it work for you? Care to share? Thanks in advance.

from my experience ,a lot of things help to prevent menstrual cramps ,diet included.for the part of diet ,dates is really good for you.and honey, milk, red sugar.these are my favorite when that period comes.the point is ,have them hot.keeping yourself warm help the blood system function smoothly ,so blood won;t stay and is always in the circulation, which is thought key to prevent menstrual cramps in our traditon.it works well for me.
besides, keep warm ,still is the most important.
whenever i drink cold water ,surely my stomache aches badly.
hope it will work for you!

Right now I'm drinking ginger ale to relieve my stomach ache but I never heard of eating oranges one week before your menstruation. I believe that our diet affects our menstruation flow and regularity. It affects our hormones if we lose or gain weight.

Hmm, some of my friends told me about honey and milk. Red sugar that's new for me. I think I'll try that. And yeah, a healthy and balance diet should really be followed. Thanks for the share Ami. I'll let you know then. Have a nice day!
Ginger ale, I take it when I have gas pains. I'll try it when I have my period. Hope it works too. Thanks for the tip! Have a nice day.

I don't know... but i just figured out that every time I drink a soda or cola my menstrual cramps stops.. it's weird but it helped me not to suffer from pain. But it was like normal to have it as long as its not that severe, otherwise you need to consult your doctor.

Hi kara18,
S i maintain a diest to prevent menstrual cramps.
I follow to take amla with honey 1 week before the periods and it works for me. But i have not heard having oranges a week before we expect the periods. If you are getting severe stomach pain. Take a glass of warm water and apply 2 pinchs of tumeric powder and drink it every half an hour the pain will reduce immediately instead of taking pain killer tablets for stomach pains

Hello, many of my friends do tell me about honey. But I've just heard about 'amla', what is it? And turmeric as pain reliever, i would try this. I do have turmeric powder - so it's not just a spice it's also medicinal. Thanks for the share, this is a good one knowing it's all but natural. Have a nice day!
