Definitely. Owning an expensive mobile phone nowadays is already considered as an status symbol. I myself, really saved a lot in order for me to buy an expensive mobile phone because of my peers and also in anyways, I can boast to anybody that I have a high paying job and that I can afford to buy a new one. But above all, it should be treated with great care because nowadays, mobile phone have been the major causes of most crimes wherein, criminals try to make holdups with the cellphone that you carry.

If you have a high paying job, and affording a expensive cellphone, it's good. It helps you build an image that you are earning handsome. but youngster who don't have that purchasing power.... or really don't need a feature packed mobile are also buying the expensive mobiles, just to show-up.

I've been using a cell phone for about 20 years now & I've never thought of it as a status symbol. I've always thought of it as a different version of "pay-phone". Anybody remember pay phones? ha ha ha. Instead of searching for change, I'll just pay later for all the calls I've made.
