Imagine scientist discover life in a different planet and that planet has the conditions for us to live. They need people to live there, colonize and work for the scientist to make that planet our future home in case earth can't maintain the conditions for life. You canĀ“t come back to earth if you choose to go. Would you go? Why? Do you think life outside earth is possible? and how far do you think scientists are from finding life in another planet?

I would go ONLY if my family was al[lowed to go with me BUT, this thing about not coming back can be a DEAL BREAKER!lol Twenty years ago I would have said YES and left my kids with family(b/c the kids were little still) I missed them like CRAZY but, going to another planet has been my no.#1 wish as long as the INHABITANTS OF SAID WORLD AREN'T HOSTILE OR CANNIBAL!!! Asked today and I'd need to PRAY about it!

I am gone, in a second, no hesitation, cant hold me bcak, bye bye. The chance to explore space and a new planet, possibly with new forms of life, what a great adventure. Finding life on the nearby planets will happen in the near future, if there is any to find. Outside our solar system will be a while yet. while we have the techniques to 'find' plannets around other stars, determining if there is life there is not yet doable. I believe there is life out there, intelligent or not we will have to wait and see!

When I was younger, that was one of my recurrent dreams. I loved it, and I hoped it would be possible before I got too old to do it. Too late now!

I think life outside Earth is very possible but I don't know that I would go if given the chance. I cant see in your discussion if others live on your made up planet but it would scare me if we went there to inhabit the planet. I would worry about what we would do to the planet as our own is not in great shape. I imagine a situation much like the native Americans must have felt.

Hi Juliancj83, I do believe there is other life outside of Earth and that it is possible but perhaps not in my lifetime. However when I was younger I used to read all the science fiction books and thought it would be an awesome adventure to colonize another planet. I believe if I could make a contribution to this scientist I would go to this other planet, I would be sad that I could not come back to Earth but the adventure and the impact of what I would be doing to help out human-kind would be worth it, as long as the mistakes we made here on Earth were not to be repeated wherever we ended up.
