Hi Deepa
We have one dog and it is the darling of my two sons, who pet him and take him to walk and takes good care of him. He also is very faithful and jumps and shouts, the moment he hears the sound of their vehicle

Hi Aunty
Thank for your prompt response.
Once if we start treating them well they also treat us in the same way. Reading your response i rembered a poem that i had studied in my college. A person will be having a dog he will fedd it every day on all the meals but he doesnt keep the dog inside or touch it, one day the dog leaves the house and finds a begar on a street. he offers a piece of roti to the dog and starts kissing the dog, When the person realised wat he did and came searching for the dog, the dog didnt go with the owner instead it went with the beggar.

Hi Deepa
Your poem is really touching and I am simply moved by it. In fact I strongly feel that it is an eye opener for some human beings, who after taking so many obligations, help and some other forms of charity, still behaves selfishly and simply ignore the people who helped them in time of need

Hi Chitra,
Thanks for your response. Good that your sister is taking taking care of them now after you got married and came to your inlaws house.

I have two cats at home. They came to my house by chance. browny Papa was left out by her mother and a very small cat she was, was shouting for three hours in my neighbour's house. They never gave any milk to that. They said if they give, it will remain there itself. Such a small cat shouting for three hours what will happen to it's throat and how about hunger? I took pity and gave diluted milk. Slowly it became our pet. We are regularly giving all vaccines and are very happy to have her. They behave like children and it is such a pleasure to see all those things.
The next black cat kanna was very weak and did not get food as older cats attacked it whenever it got some food and they have taken away the food. So after four days it was semi-conscious and was not able to open it's eyes. How to keep quiet? We started giving diluted milk and now it is a big cat, 1 1/2 years old. Apart from these two, we regularly feed street dog suneetha and it sleeps sometimes in our passage or in our opposite house neighbour's house. Did I bore you?

You have a good heart Deepa. Please feed the mouthless beings in your capacity. It is good for you, as per Shirdi Baba's words. This will be a blessing for you. After all where will the dogs and cats go for food? Only we have to give them food. There are good people around and I see them feeding the animals. Today I and my neighbour, old lady have applied some neem oil to the street dog for it's skin problem. I brought vet doctor thrice home to give injections to it. But it is not going. Then I gave homeopathy tablets. One of our neighbouring lady only gave that to me. But of not much use. Now we are applying neem oil to it. My another neighbour said what will you get by this? I said contentment. It is a humanitarian act to help in our own capacity. We do not expect any thing in return. If it cures the dog, I am happy. I have not done much.

I have two fish. They are oscars and very large and I love them because they do not need a lot from me. I had a dog at one point but she was very needy and had to have special medication that I could not afford. I hope her new home is better. I also had a cat but it is now an outdoor cat and rarely comes by to visit. I had birds when I was younger and would love to have another one someday.
