We usually eat at the kitchen table - all of us. But during the week, we eat at different places during breakfast . . . just because of the timing of when we wake up. Hubby works early, so he eats before leaving as we are still sleeping. I wake up next and I have to eat in a timely manner because of my health issues. And then my little one eats at the coffee table with a chair just right for her size . . . she always has some activity going on while she's having her breakfast!

I love when we all get to eat together at the table. However with different schedules for everyone that happens very few times. I end up eating at the computer unfortunately because its boring sitting at a table by my self. At least at the computer I'm keeping busy doing other things. So the next time we will all be eating together will be Thanksgiving Day, and I can't wait.

Is there a reason for that? Sometimes before I have used a packing box turned upside down as a table. But I usually made it prettier by covering it with saved wrapping paper from last year's Christmas gifts. Sometimes we could not afford furniture and sometimes we were just staying somewhere for such a short time it did not make sense to buy any. I don't believe in renting furniture, lol.

It really depends what I am eating. I usually eat breakfast at the table as I will start with toast then have muesli. Lunch will usually be eaten sat on the sofa whilst working on my laptop. Depending on what I have cooked for my evening meal, we will either eat at the table or eat in front of the tv.

Funnily enough, I usually eat in front of the television! But otherwise I do eat at the dinner table or on my desk if I'm doing some work.

I do eat meals at the table during Christmas but not much of it because I easy to feel full and dizzy when its Christmas. I am tired for sure with lots of preparation so I guess I will not finish the meal. I only get what I can eat and that is it.

There's no reason for me to eat at the table, there's just me here. I usually eat dinner while I watch the news I've recorded. They say you should eat at the table with no distractions in order to fully enjoy your food but I feel it's a waste of time.

We eat at the kitchen table whether it be with his parents or not. Sometimes we'll eat in the den, or in our room, but most of the time we eat at the kitchen table. When I was younger we only ate at the table for the most part if it was a holiday, other times we just ate in the den with friends and family.

Yes, I do eat my meal on the table whenever I am home. I think that is the purpose why we have dining table so my family eats on it. We are in the office during daytime and so we only have the dinner to be together and eat our meal together on our table and that feels really great!

I like to eat dinner each night with my family at the table although when something good is on TV we have been known to eat in the lounge room. I eat my lunch in front of my computer while I work every day and occasionally I will eat at the breakfast bar.

I eat a vast majority oif my meals at the table with my son, unless my son isn't home and then once in a blue moon I will eat downstairs. Sometimes I am doing schoolwork and eat but I am still at the kitchen table. It's just good manners that I want to teach my son. We don't even have the T.V. or music on.

My family and I eat out dinners at our dining table in our kitchen. It wasn't always like the until our house now due to there wasn't enough room but since we moved in here we have a big kitchen so we were able to fit out kitchen table along with all four of the chairs around it that way we can all sit at the table together and enjoy each other. We have started a new thing this year at dinner time to where the kids will study their spelling words with us that way they have the evenings to enjoy more. We will say the word and then we go back and forth between the two of them and have them spell them, even though we don't make it this way they have sort of made it a competition between the two of them to see who can go the furthest without missing a word..they really do seem to enjoy it this way. I do believe that sitting at the dinner table brings families closer together because I have also noticed that since we started sitting out at a table all together they really seem to share more with us...I think it gives them the chance to remember and open up more.

hijugsjugs well being that I live in a retirement center we must go downstairs to the dining room for all three meals. We share tables, usually three or four to a table. I often snack between meals but we are asked to please come to the meals. When we had our own apartment I ate at our table all alone as my son worked odd hours.

Hey jugs! I usually eat my meals in my lap too! The only time I eat meals at the dining room table is on the weekends when my boyfriend is home for dinner and we have dinner together. Otherwise sometimes I eat at the table myself during the week depending on how sloppy the meal is or sometimes I just eat it on my lap in my bed!

I live in a one bedroom flat and I don't have the space for a dinner table. I eat all of my meals sitting in my favourite armchair with a big tray on my lap, this seems to work for me and I can sit in front of the television as well! It is nice if you can share a meal with family around the dinner table although I don't have that option as I don't have anyone in the way of family. Andrew

As much as possible, all members of the household should only eat their meals on the dinning table. Its a habit I my parents handed down to me and I would keep it that way. This is especially true during dinner or weekends where all members are present in the house. I hate to see someone eating their meals in front of the TV or carrying their plates in any parts of the house. Had to reprimand them for doing this.
