WE used to go to Florida, to the theme parks, when our son was growing up but now he's all growed up but we still want to go to Florida.
We are in our 50s and still quite active.
We are ready to see other things now so could you give us some ideas that would help us decide what to do?

I first started going to Florida about 30 years ago when I lived with friends in Ontario. They had friends in Florida so we didn't have to pay for accommodations which left lots of money for partying.
Once our son was old enough we started going back again.
Now the friends I lived with in Ontario live in Florida so we still don't have to pay for accommodations.
We will of course try to have a great vacation without our son this time around. It will be different but I know we will have the time of our lives.

That is an added plus that you don't have to pay for accommodations. It is always nice to see friends. I am sure you will have a great time. Do you get on my lot when you are on vacation WebMann? Hope the weather is great there for you. Have you decided what things you will see? Hope you have lots of pictures to put on here when you get back.

I think that you would have a lovely trip to Florida. It offers fantastic theme parks like Disney World. Perhaps you might like to visit one or more of the palm fringed beaches. You could visit the Everglades National Park where you would probably see the wildlife. I suggest instead of flying there you consider traveling by plane. You might be able to stop off on the way there and on the way back. Good luck planning your trip and happy traveling to sunny Florida.

Depending on the area in Florida that you want to visit, there are a lot of unique things that you can see and do. There is a hill outside of Orlando that it is said to be haunted. I guess you can put your car in neutral and the reverse gravity will pull your car up the hill. I didn't get a chance to try it when I was there in July, because I was with a family of friends.
St. Petersburg, which has been nicknamed the Sunshine City, has an average of 361 days of sunshine per year, is a city filled with a variety of entertainment like Broadway shows and moonlit cruises.
The Florida Keys is also interesting. There are a number of things to see there. I was only there for a day excursion when I was on a cruise, so I don't have a lot of information. But it is definitely worth looking into.
I am hoping to go back to Florida this year for my birthday, but haven't been able to make any definite plans yet.
Hope you enjoy your trip!

Ha that's funny. Were I live, just about 2Km from my house we have a famous hill that does the same thing. We call the Magnetic Hill.
It was a blast to see what I was just a little guy. You can put a ball, even down to the size of a golf ball and it will roll up the hill.
I have friends in St. Petersburg but I lost their address and phone number on our last trip back. I haven't got a clue how we could have lost it. We are hoping we can contact them once we get back down there.
For me personally I want to get out fishing again. Maybe get some largemouth bass.
Other than that I could just go there to watch sunsets.
