What does "P.E." stand for?

I can't figure it out. In my old school, PE stood for "physical education"- that fun high school class where fat old gym teachers in baggy pants barked out orders to apathetic students who would rather be somewhere else. I privately take a moment to rejoice that I am now an adult and never have to suffer through the experience again.
Somehow I surmise that this is not the meaning of P.E. on mylot. Will someone enlighten me?

Hi opalina, once again into the fro with this one and it isn't PE it's pe. A rather pathetic little squib I'm afraid. It was time for an interest where one could talk about politics and fun things without being ranted at, where things of import can be discussed whilst poking fun at the same time, in other words satire, something not particularly well understood outside of the UK. We are used to critiscing politiicians and royals without having to be patriotic or being yelled at for not towing the political line. So any serious ranters such as appear in the political interest section can be told to lighten up in here.
There have been many frivoulous discussions as well as some serious ones, and if you post here you are unlikey to be recognised. Now the name itself was meant to be Private Eye, but the bunny chickend out at the last minute and called it pe. Not even capitals you note. No matter it has been a resounding success and this is the LAst time I explain it again.
