You may already feel successful and if you do, please share what it is in your life that makes you feel that way. I think that success is based on what it is that fulfills a person. For some people it may be an accomplishment and for others success may be alot of material things. What is it that would make you feel successful and if you already do..please share your success with the rest of us here.

I feel sucessful because what I have persued has worked for me. I have set my sights (in the past) for certain jobs and have interviewed and stayed on their listings until I have gotten the job I wanted. I feel fulfilled in that. I no longer lead that type of life and am fulfilled in the area in which i work now. I know that I can go as far as I want to with it. I depends on me. And so in that also I feel fulfilled.

The day I do not have to worry about money, that is the day I am truly successful! Once I can get the bane of worrying about money out of the way, there is so much I would want to do! I do not need to be a multi-millionaire. Just enough for me not to worry about footing the expenses in life, I'd be happy. Cos once the day come where I am financially free, I will have free time to pursue my other interest!

I would say that I have been successful since I had a 30 year teaching career and basically raised my 4 children on my own while I was teaching. I sometimes look around me and realize that all the "things" that I have, I got for myself and didn't have anyone else get them for me. I paid for the majority of my education myself and I paid my own way all my life, as I am still doing. It would be really onice if I could find someone to be with , but if it doesn't happen, I know that I will survive on my own, as I have always done.

First off. For me to feel successful, I would have to make enough money that I NEVER have to worry about paying a bill, or buying food, or getting gas for the car, EVER. And second, I would want to be HAPPY, whenever I went into work, whether I'm working for someone, managing someplace, or have my own business, I need to be happy.

It would be great to have a job doing something that you enjoy versus just being there for the paycheck. Not having to worry about living expenses would also be an indication that you were successful. Thanks for the response.

Just simple things, Jen! But my measure seems to be in my WONDERFUL son...and his success....he has NOT let me down. The tears I cried, when he won 5 Awards & Bursaries, upon High School Graduation (and it was the first time I had worn mascara in years)...his graduating second it his class (by 1/16th of a percent) from aeronautical engineering....how he has put his formal training to work...BUT HAS NOT forgotten to be a good...good person..a very giving & kind person...always giving time to other's less fortunate! That's my success, Jen! HUGZ!

My husband and I don't yet have a place to call our own. We have the land technically as his mom said we can put a doublewide on their property. I think a success or big accomplishment would be to have a doublewide in the next year. I know that's a big jump, but I would feel very successful if I could say that we have our own home. I love living here with my in laws, do not get me wrong, I know most wouldn't, but I really love it here... However, I'd also like to have a place that I can decorate as I please, and not have to wait on t.v. time, or computer time! lol!

A question, I've really been wondering is how likely am I too? my husband has a part time job, and if I get the job I hope to get, I will be in a full time job. He makes $7.25, and I'd make atleast $7.00... With that, and mylot into consideration that I doubt a lender would take mylot into consideration, I just wonder how likely my husband and I are to get an $80,000 doublewide, have trees cut down so we can fit said doublewide on ma and pa's back yard, and plus we'll be getting a car... Lol can you tell I'm new to this? I wish you luck in all of your endeavors! Hope you get a new laptop!

I would have loved to had someone special to share it with but that wasn't meant to be. I have a wonderful grandson that i love dearly & he loves me so what more could i ask for. There is one thing that is heavy on my heart but i am not going to go into that, everyone has problems& don't need to hear about mine. For me success means to be able to overcome my depression so that I may be able to wake up everyday feeling good about myself and have the energy to do the things that I need to do AND want to do. To be able to leave my apt by myself is a biggie for me right now too. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

My writing career is not exactly successful but as a whole I think my life is a success simply because I am loved and I am a mother. My daughter is a beautiful, smart, compassionate young girl and whenever I look at her, all the feelings of gloom and failure leave me and I smile to myself, “Yep...I did good there!”

Hi "Feeling Successful" includes my whole up and downs of my life.I am a citizen of India and i'm proud to be an Indian.I had done Masters in Business and i am very ambitious in life.I had been successful and feel success at various points in my life. But the Success is still far away from me.I had my dreams and whenever i saw something exciting i take out my pen and write it in my diary. I updates my Goals every day and tried to find out ways to achieve them in shortest time.Everybody wants to be successful, some says i had achieved success while other says they are on their way.But mine Success is my Goals.i feel success at every point of time when i reach a bit closer to my Goal. My Dad is my Role model in my life.He creates milestones in his life and i'm following him.I realize how he achieve his success by working day and night.I am very positive and hard working guy.I didn't see things in negative way.i only let positive thoughts enter in my mind. These thoughts creates my success. Last but not the least i would say that Feeling Successful has a different meaning for every individual but i Feel Success when i reach my Goals. Happy Mylotting

Well, like many others have expressed, for me what might make me feel Successful would not mean a thing for someone else. But for me, one thing that I think helps in my feeling successful right now, is having a good marriage, having Jesus as my personal Savior, and also recently being able to purchase our New home. For me a lot of times it is more than material things as in the end you really cannot take these with you as well.

Those are things that would make a person feel full and successful. I think that even those that are more materialistic, at some point realize the same thing. They can't take it with them. Thanks for responding and take care.

To me, i think success is to make myslef and others happy. However, sometimes it is very difficult to fufill this. When I help sb, and he really are helped, i will feel i am successful. Sometime, when i have set a goal, and after the efforts, i realized my dream, i feel i am successful. When I heard others speak me highly, i will aslo feel successful. But, such kind of feeling will not always comes. The road is not always smooth. Only if you have met some difficuties or setbacks, you will really feel how succssful you are when one day you succeed

Hi JenInTN! for me success is not measured by wealth or money. Success is when you achieve your dreams, when your happy and contented. But sometimes it is sad to think that people connects success to money. Well, different people, different views.
