I haven't dressed up for Halloween in a long time. We've been invited to some halloween parties where a costume is "required". I have no idea what I'm going to dress up as. I really don't want to go to party city and spend a fortune on a costume. I'm thinking about hitting up some thrift stores to try to figure out a good homemade costume.
Are you all dressing up for Halloween? If so what are you dressing up as?

Well, I don't ever remember dressing up for Halloween EVER, I've had some ideas but I never get to put them into effect. In the end, we'll only wear the costume once every Halloween, so what's the point in buying one? I always figured that it would be best to throw on some old clothes and make it look like something scary. That way we don't have to spend money on all those expensive things . . .

Yes, people do seem to spend money on silly things nowadays, don't you think? The commercials are messing with our minds; apparently we have to dress up as a fictional something to have a good time on a holiday. And lot's of people fall for it, and they buy those expensive costumes, and they let the company eat away at their money . . .
People should be more careful of what they spend their money on, don't you think so?

Last year I made a rabbit costume and went as a rabbit who dressed up as a bank robber. My sister borrowed this this year, so I have to think of something else. If you look online though, there are lots of costumes you can make.

Hi there cynddvs. We already had our annual Halloween costume party. We usually have it a little early to meet with everyone's schedules. Most people have children with fall pageants and such. Plus one couple is in a band, so we work around their schedule as well, since they play most every weekend.
I decided to go as a headless woman. This is my avatar that I have here on myLot. You can visit my profile to see the picture a little bit bigger. It was very easy to make, and with just household products.
I got lucky and found the dress in one of my rental properties, but it could be made with any long dress. The blood was homemade as well with a mixture of white corn syrup and red food coloring. I also added a drop of dish liquid to keep it from being too sticky, a dash of blue food coloring to make it a little darker, and a bit of corn starch to make it a little thicker.
If you would like instructions on the costume, I have written an article and here is the link. http://www.ehow.com/how_5555046_make-headless-woman-costume.html
Good luck to you and Happy Halloween!!!

I love Halloween and will be going as the Burger King King this year. It is a great costume and I am really excited about it. I plan to go to Burger King Drive thru with my costume on and order 10 whopper jrs. and take them to the party I am going to so I can hand them out to people. I love Halloween and don't think I have missed one. I have dressed up every year of my life and most likely will continue. My two boys are also dressing up. My 3 year old is a dragon and super cute and my 7 month old is a pumpkin.

Me and my three other roommates are having a huge party at my college campus. It should be a legitimate huge party. We have decorations, black lights, 2 kegs, jungle juice, and it should be awesome. I'm dressing up as Teen Wolf. Halloween is always the craziest party of the year and it should be crazy to see everyone here.

I haven't dressed up since I was about 13 years old and really don't have any plans to as I don't visit anyone for Halloween. I'm never invited to parties or anything so I'd rather save my money and not dress up even though I'd really love to! I miss dressing up. It's such a fun thing to do to be someone else for the night.

I don't dress up every year, but have for the last few ones. I go to my daughter's school for their Halloween parade and trunk or treat, so a lot of the parents dress up, decorate their cars and hand out goodies to the school children. Last year my daughter and I were matching witches and the year before I was a fairy. This year I'm going to recycle a costume I haven't worn in over 10 years. It's a princess. I used to dress up every Halloween when I used to work in retail. It was a lot of fun. The store was located in a mall, so we had tons of trick or treaters. Now I'm in an office, so we don't dress up. So I only dress up for my daughter's activity or if I'm going to a Halloween Party. Happy Halloween!
