I just really surprised when I read the news. It just unbelievable. A five years old boy from Romania has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records for his body builder and six pack body. He has been trained since he was two years old.
Check out the pictures for the result and Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1222546/Muscle-bound-boy-record-breaker-Five-year-old-bodybuilder-record-books-TV-stunt.html
What do you think about that? Do you think it is the right thing to do training a two years old child in Gym? Do you want to have a son like that?

I saw that news in the web. The video was disturbing. What in the world is his father thinking? That's a very wrong thing to do as a parent. That child will have no childhood. His father will just continue training him. He's living his dream through his child. Poor child. Maybe the child won't even grow tall as he is suppose to be because of that rigorous weight lifting. It's very disturbing. I hope child protection agencies will act on this matter.

Hi Shadow, I may want to correct a thing first. From the news I read, the child still has his childhood. He still like painting, watching cartoon and other things when he was not weightlifting . But I do agree with you that we cannot put our dream as a parent into our child. And the worst of all, I am also worried on the health of the boy and whether he can grow as a normal child. Because I can see from the video, he surely has six pack body. He beat me for sure

It is much easier to train a two years old boy. Grown up people like us already know a lot of more fun things to do then weightlifting. Which one is more fun to you, eating ice cream or healthy diet food? Shopping or gym? Sleeping or sit up? Sightseeing or weightlifting?

I saw the youtube video, the stuff he does in that video is insane.
I don't believe kids that young should be doing those acrobatics an lifting weights, I think he's in danger of stunting his growth.
Also I think that it's kinda child abuse I fee like his dad is forcing him to do those things.

I don't want to judge anyone yet, but it is not necessary the father forced the kid to do those thing. You know what the kids do, they are following what you do. I think the father doesn't need to force the kid. What he needs to do is just showing him how to weightlifting. He will follow his father automatically. I think that's what the father did. There is in the news, the father took him to a gym every time he goes. So every time he went to a gym, he can see all the exercises and tools in that gym. He just need to follow and become a habit since then.
I don't know.Correct me if I am wrong

I watched the youtube as soon as I found the article. I saw those acrobatics, weightlifting, and many other stunts. But I didn't pay attention on what the background sound. I just amazed with the stunts.
Anyway, he is maybe, encouraging and directing his son during the video taking like a movie director shooting a movie involving a small kid. I know some kids can do the back flipping like this kid and the same age like him too. He is learning martial arts in early age. You will be amazed how he can do all the acrobatic moves. But the different is, he was not developing muscles like he is.
Well, I think we have to leave him to local authority to investigate whether any force against the kid

Go watch the youtube video then say that, if you watch the video you will see the kid doing things even adults shouldn't do.
Like back flipping off the dinner, back flipping off of a wall.
During the video you will hear the father pushing his son along, like some ring leader at a circus.
Like I said go to youtube find the video shouldn't be hard, then tell me thats normal.

What!
Training from the age of two! Gosh why would that ever be necessary! That is weird, maybe they had really planned it much earlier to get in the record book somehow, but honestly this is weird actually something i would appreciate, what if the child is seen as someone different, oh well i guess he can't be bullied in school but yeah sometimes he would feel quite different... hmmm weird weird... neways have a nice day dodyast.

Actually, it is not weird to train a two years kid because it is the age where they can learn and adapt very fast. I just don't get it, how can the father find the right tool to train two years old kid. It is not easy to find weightlifter in gym for two years old kid, don't you think? Yeah.. definitely he will not bullied in school. In fact, the teacher will not punish him when he is late. This kid really has muscles

I saw him last night on tv. So amazing. I can't imagine that he has the power and energy to do workouts like that. With less effort he can carry the weights and the barbel? He is a gifted child. I just hope that this will inspire other kids to appreciate exercise this early. He is such a wonder boy. His parents are great for exposing him early about healthy lifestyle.

Yeah he is amazing kid. I never thought it is possible to create such abs and body to 5 years old kid. You should see him when he push up with upside down position. He surely like Jacky Chan. But I am not totally agree that it is a good exercise for younger age. I am afraid, it is too much exercise for two years old kid and at the end, it is not a healthy lifestyle for the boy.

You're right... his energies has to be redirected to something appropriate to his age. He can also be a subject for research and experiment --the pros and cons of early engagement to workouts like this.

I can't imagine being that hardcore but I can imagine people doing things like this. It looks to me like the child enjoys this and it does not seem like the parents are forcing him to do it.

From the video, I can see the boy is enjoying himself, jumping around the table . But I think it is not fair to train a two years old boy. He cannot decide whether he likes the exercise or not. He was too young to understand. When you bring a two years old boy into a gym, he will feel like a playground.
I just don't get it. How the father can train a two years old boy? I don't see any gym has an appropriate tools for small boy?

I don't know that I disagree. There are many children who do martial arts and sports at a very young age. I agree that he is a very sculpted little boy and it is obvious they are at the gym a lot. I have discovered that a punishment for my three year old is push ups. It is working a lot better than timeouts and it is teaching about exercise. I can't imagine taking him to the gym daily for workouts but I can't imagine myself going to the gym every day for workouts.

Well, martial arts is kind of different from my point of view. It doesn't change any part of your body. Some martial arts teaches movements, kicking, punching and some of them teaching acrobatic. But this boy has transformed his body to have a bigger muscles.
Anyway, we don't know whether it's correct or not, but as long as the boy and the father are happy, that's not a problem. But he surely will stuck with gym forever. Once you go to a gym, then you cannot stop. The body will loosing the shape if we stop the exercise

Hi dodyast - the page on your link has been removed and I'm a bit skeptical about anything reported in the Mail to start with. Presuming that the story is true it is a ridiculous thing to to with a child and I know that children are not allowed to use the local gym as their bodies are still forming so to put this pressure on a body so young will probably do long term damage.

yeah. this boy will not grow normal. He will stop growing if he still continue lifting heavy objects. I don't think it's nice for a school age boy to develop his muscles at early age. he don't look like cuddle.

We hope not. I think he will grow as normal, but not so tall. Unless, he balance it with acrobatic jumps like he shows in his video. In his video, he is not only weightlifting but he also knows acrobatic jumps, which is quite helping to stretching his body. I hope

I think he is starting this way too early. So, what is the Guinness Book of Records? Some records are farcical. This may be one of them. I am sure doctors will advise against such an excessive regime to build up weight and muscles among boys of that age. He may have emotional scars in later life!

Surely the doctors will against this kind of exercise. It is not normal for a kid to have muscles like that. Even, the jacky chan's son doesn't have that kind of muscles. Not when he was a kid, also he doesn't have it till now. The son doesn't follow his father as a martial art, but choosing to be a singer

I actually find this a bit scary..I hope the child has no problems with his trining to achieve that kind of body. Won't the parents get sued? I think it's terrible to subject a child to a very intense work-out. I also doubt if the child ever grows up taller when he gets older. I m afraid the child seems so abused. Even if he likes it, i can't imagine parents would do such to their children. I am not even fine with stressing a child too much even on simpler sports. I think children should enjoy their childhood. There's nothing wrong with letting them play and have fun without the stressful trainings.

Is this his father's way of channeling his frustrations to have 6 packs at a young age?To have his son fulfill it? Or is his father doing this for the limelight and blurting out to press people that he's doing this because his son likes it and he has potentials? For goodness sake, the boy is STILL A BOY!!

Wow! I would have thought it was only edited if it were a picture but wow this is real!
And to think many guys out there dream of having those abs :) Still I think children's interest are only influenced by their parents. So the kind doesn't really think yet if he likes doing this or not

That's the problem Bryan. We don't know whether this is what the kid wants, but unfortunately, we will never know. If we train a kid from younger age, then his preference has been changed since that moment. If you ask him now, he surely enjoy the training, especially, he is famous now all over the internet. We just need to wait for a few months before the kid receives an offer to act in a movie

I am embarrassed to myself too. I have been beaten by six years old kid. But hey.. don't worry, we are not alone. Many guys out there are looking his body in the mirror and say.. my God, I am a looser .
p.s: I am not doing that. I just stay away from the mirror after I watch the video

I know that most of the gyms around here won't allow bodybuilding until age 18 and tell anyone younger that it is a bad thing to train for that kind of shape because the body is still growing and developing. They say that anyone younger should simply keep themselves fit and healthy and not do too much work with weights, etc.
Other than that, it is rather freaky and just another version of "pushy parents" where they try to turn the poor kid into what they wanted to be.

It'a pity that his body has to take that kind of punishment. How could they claim that the child enjoys what he does? even adults who already has the will will find it hard to do a couple of sit ups and reach that kind of abs how much more for a five year old kid. Cheers!

I think it is much easier to teach a habit to a child then grown up people. We have too many things to do and exercising is the last thing we want to do. It is different if we are teaching a two years old child, he can adopt with the new habit very quickly. You just need to teach him a few months, then he is the one who's asking his dad to go to the gym. The same thing when you teach a language to a child. I know a child who can speak 3-4 languages. The parents teaches them since they were a baby, they can learn very quickly.

Hi dodyast: how sick it's this world! Off course not, i'd like that my kids will be normal. This little boy don't have a normal childhood because he's just training and he needs to grow up. I think this will probably affects his normal growth. I can't understand how people can tolerate this situation. Those parents must go to jail for letting his little child be like that. Simply horrible

Like we have discussed before, we are not sure yet what would be happened to this kid. Is he going to grow like a normal kid or the weightlifting will affecting their height, health or his mentality. When I read in the news, he is not the only one who's receiving Guinness Book of record. There was another kid who also received similar record, unfortunately, they didn't inform us what happen to the kid and whether he was growing as normal kid or not.

I have read the news but I was not very excited to see it.else I thought it was not fair on part of the father to train only a 2 year child.he is too young for such activities.the father is snatching the childhood from the baby. Its wrong.
may be the father is accomplishing his dreams through his child
