If you are leaving in Saudi Arabia then it is no harm for the kids using the internet without your guidance, because only these country and other arab nation who's internet provider are filtered, filtered and filtered again. Meaning p*rn*graphic site immoral
content is really filtered even you used the so-called proxy to access the filtered sites. Open countries like U.S., Canada, and many others who's government is in favor of not filtering the internet content will indanger your children letting them exposed on the internet without your guidance. Nowadays, many sites can just redirect you to any site they want without your conscience. The solution to these if you want your children will be safe in these scenario in your absence of letting them logged on the internet is you have to look for a router that has the features "Parental Control or Parental Filtered". These features allows you to filtered or control that number of sites that you wanted to be access by your kids.

There are a lot of things that we can learn from the internet. Obviously the internet can help children and improve their knowledge. The important thing is to insure that they are using it for the good rather than use it for bad things. So they should be monitored when they go online.

It depends. You know young children are all very clever and curious about everything, on the other hand, Internet provides an easy and convenient way to meet their needs. OK, it's unquestionably we can't stop them from surfing the web, what we can do is just to limit their qualifications or continually update our computer security meassures so as to purify the contents our kids will surf. Every coin has two sides, and this problem exists in every country and people have already been alarmed by such cases.

I think kids need to have the freedom to view the internet as it was
made to be viewed... Without restrictions, if you insist on being a moral
parent then have a site blocker intill the kid turns 16 most kids understand right from
wrong just depends on how the parent or gaurdian wants to go on raising them

My 7 year old nephew goes online once in a while. He knows that he is only allowed online when an adult is sitting next to him. He looks up things on wikipedia. He is interested in Dinosaurs, sports players and crafts. He goes on the Disney web site and the Nickeloden site to play games. He also goes to Barnes and Noble web site and looks to see what books he is interested in reading. He loves to read more than play or do research on the Internet.
I feel it is okay to allow a child to use the Internet provided there is adult supervision. There are filters you can put on your computer that allow you to monitor where your children go.

depends pretty much on their usage.the benefit go online are plenty:information, knowledge.entertainment.conversation.creativity.and much more.
but the parents should watch them always.may be they can be a online mentor to their children, especially if are under the age 10.stays and involved together with your children online work.and can make a standard sequirity, content and privary filters on your computer

Surfing net is not that bad.
When you are a learner its open a amazing door to you. But in case of kids. A lot bad things happen. Parrent must be take some steps-
Lock the browser from opening unwanted page.
Guided the kid what topic he should browse and why
And not let him spent too much time on net surfing because it would be boomerang for kids.
