I am not really irritable when I have my period. It is just that I am so miticulous more regarding on the cleanleness of my place when I have my period. I am on the mood to clean up almost evrything. I do not want to see things misplaced. That is what I am during the time I have my period.

I think it has something to do with the hormones which has I think has an effect on you. I know that when a period comes in a girl the hormones becomes imbalance and it affects your mood eventually and the inconvenience of having that like headaches and the discharges that comes out aggravates it further.

Hi Karbuks
Yes I really become irritable during my periods. I easily get angry and become sad for minute things and become more emotional. I think during that time I will be concerned about things which will not bother me other times. I think hormonal changes may cause such symptoms.

Yes. When I was young I everyone could tell that I would have my period when I became irritable. A doctor friend explained me that it was because the body retains liquid (in the brain too and it makes some pressure). I would recommend a mild diuretic or, if you donĀ“t like pills, parsil tea (You just pour hot water over parsil and let it stand for 5 min before drinking it).
Have a nice day!

i always frown when i have mine and sometimes when they ask me about something. I just keep silent and i have the impression of being snobbish. I rarely drink tea when i have my period, i drink milk because i feel that it can lessen the pain of dysmynorrhea.
