I'd go with pasta, any kind of pasta. Something maybe that you could do in the oven or in a crock pot, like a roast or something easy. I know a roast could take possibly all day, just like a big chicken could, but it would also feed alot of people. So would something like spaghetti or lasagna. Hamburgers wouldn't be all that complicated, depending on how important the dinner was! :o) Happy mylotting! Hope this was helpful

Lasagne is a very easy dish that you can make aheat and the just put in the oven to heat. I would prepare an antipasto as a starter. All that can be easy to make if you have money to buy part of the ingredients. Garlic bread is easy and unexpensive. So are cawliflower flowerets with a dip. Olives, cheese, sweet peppers in olive oil can be done ahead. As for dessert, just buy an angel cake and a good icecream. Serve a slice of cake, top it with icecream and put a leaf of mint if you can get it easily. Take care!

Easiest thing to make for a crowd IMO is always a pasta and sauce combo..cuold be spaghetti or a fettucine dish..Or you could make a stew or chili. Either could be served wiht rolls or biscuts....

Where do you live? Pasta is always a safe option, aside from being carbo. Pair it up with french bread with garlic butter (with really small garlic bits). You can also serve appetizers like deviled eggs (really easy to make) or hors d'ourves as appetizers. To make it easier, small bread with topings like tuna, pimiento, eggmayo, ham with olives. etc. Good luck.

Hi Claire, When you have so many guests coming in, its best to make rice. A rice dish made for maincourse can easily serve ten people. Take 8 cups of rice and make a pulao or vegetable fried rice. You could serve this with some chicken curry or vegetable stew. You could have soups and salads as apetisers and icecream topped with nuts for dessert. All the best. Cheers, Karen

I agree with the pasta. Lasagne is easy to make and yummy. You can serve it with some garlic bread or dinner rolls and a green salad. You can make fruit kebabs for appetizers. I like the egg and sandwich idea too. Dessert can be something easy like strawberries and ice-cream or a baked pudding with custard.
