I've always done the traditional Christmas Day thing - home, tree, decorations, big turkey dinner, lots of presents under the tree, family, carol sings, Midnight Mass, the whole shebang.
But this year, I'm thinking I'd love to book a singing gig on a cruise ship for Christmas, and get away from everyone and everything.
That's just a dream, it would never fly with my family. Even if they could be passengers on the cruise ship with me!

I have a baby girl and she will be 6 months old when it gets to Christmas time. I wish to stay at home to enjoy her very first Christmas. I am planning to buy her presents very soon. I have had two Christmas overseas. I was 21 years old when I was in Australia. It was a hot day and I went swimming on the Queensland coastline. I was 29 years old when I spent Christmas in New Zealand. I was in the Bay of Islands. It was lovely on the dolphin watching boat trip. I hope that you will have a wonderful Christmas Day and a Happy New Year.

I haven't made any exact plans for Christmas Day yet. Although, I wouldn't mind going to Orlando and Disney World sometime around that date. My birthday is on December 31st, New Year's Eve, and it is my understanding that you can get in free to the amusement park on your birthday this year. That is if they are still running that special.
I could always drive, and stop by and see my mom on the way. Then again, I might be able to get a deal on a last minute flight instead. If that's the case, I would fly directly to Orlando.
If I don't end up going out of town, I will probably visit my brother and my sister sometime near the holiday. I don't have an exact date in mind. It could be either Christmas or more likely Christmas Eve.
What about you? What are your plans for Christmas this year? Do you already know what you are planning to do?

I will be in India this Christmas. India you say? What an exotic place to spend Christmas. Actually, I have been there several times and love it. I pick Christmas time because the weather is tolerable and actually quite cold in India that time of year. I have been in India during the summer months and it is torture. The one thing I love about India is that you can travel throughout the country for a whole year and still not see even a quarter of the sites it has to offer. During the summer months I tend to go toward the Himalayan regions where it is cool. The mountain peaks there are absolutely breathtaking. When you get up high enough it is like you are in another world. During the winter months it is nice to go to Delhi or towards the southern part of the country. India has a mix of tropical (South India), desert (Rajisthan), plains and fields (Punjab), and mountain regions (Himalayan range). If you like a variety of climates and sites, then India offers a great selection of these locations for the world traveler.

If I a chance to choose a place for Christmas, I would choose to spend it near the beach. With my family of course. I never experienced spending Christmas in the beach before. I think a 3 day Christmas vacation on the beach or beach resort. That's nice.
