We had computers to vote on during the last election and they where both simple and easy. Our voting district set up a dummy vote in the fire hall the week before so that any one who felt the need to learn how to use the system before the actual vote could learn the program before hand. In that vote Micky Mouse was voted President and Bugs bunny Governor..lol, I know that a lot of the older voters went and they where all very comfortable with the system.

Ideally, it is better than the manual one we have been used to since it lessens human errors and human contact. But since it is still very new to us, a lot of things could happen. People might take the chance to fool people especilly those who re not fmiliar with the system. What's important to do is to teach people erly on regarding how to vote with those machines. by teaching people and explaining to them every single detail, then everyone would be aware if something fishy would happen on the lection day itself because everyone has been taught on the proper way to use them. Eliminating ignorance will surely make a difference. People with bad intentions would surely think twice of fooling people because they already know what to do. I really am positive that this new system would eventually eliminate vote buying, vote tampering, ballot switching (!), etc. Let's just all learn and follow, then we're good to go.. :D

You know guys our center of study in our Thesis during college days is about Automated Election System. We've made a program on it. Fortunately it run. I programmed it in MS Visual Basic because it is the latest programming language that time. Based on ou study it is very efficient to use especially for those who administer the election. No more hassle of overnight counting of votes because it just automatically computes the votes the voter casts for each candidate. We will know immediately who wins. The disadvantage is that it is prone to rigging. If one of the candidates has accomplice with the programmers, maybe he will win. The main concern in the automated election is the integrity and credibility of people behind it.
