What do you do when you receive a bad grade?

There are two things that you can do when you receive a bad grade: 1) Become a negative thinking and get upset and give up. 2) Become a positive thinking by working harder and keep moving forward.
The students in the first category who get upset and give up, run into many different issues in life. These students are known as negative thinkers and failures to society. They end up going back and completed what they should have completed in the first place. On the other hand, they have regrets and go through life saying, "I wish I would have finished what I started." Why? Because there is still a sense of incompletion right there in the back of their mind. Some students walk around mad at the world and start complaining forming a negative attitude toward the class or course. Ultimately, giving up thinking it will hurt the teacher, but end up hurting themselves in the long run.
However, on the other hand, there are those students who are positive thinkers. These students are successful and make it very far in life. Positive thinkers do not let anything or anything stop them. These students keep moving forward no matter what.
When I receive a bad grade I work harder on the next assignment and move foward. I get a tutor and ask lots of questions, until I get a clear understanding of the assignment. I find out what exactly I did wrong and correct it. Learning is trial and error. No one is perfect, you are going to make mistakes. Keep moving forward.

And that's the way to do it Shelley.
Receiving a bad grade should be taken as a motivational factor instead of a repressing one. I know it's hard, but not impossible, lots of us do it. It also depends on how the parents of the student react. If they rebuke the student, well, the student can also take that in a positive way and do better next time.
It's a very common saying, "Learn from your mistakes." It applies in everyday life, every hour, every minute and every second. Grieving over mistakes doesn't bring anything, but learning from them most certainly does.
Before I sign off, I'd also like to state something else I've heard:
Those who've made a lot of mistakes know more than those who've made fewer.
And that, is true as well! :)

That is a very true last statement, because experience is the best teacher. The more you learn, the more you can teach. Then, wisdom comes into play. The more you are taught the more knowledge you have of different situations and the more you can teach others in these different situations.

I remember the day, I was in eight grade and I got really bad marks in History. I was very dissapointed and my mom scold me a lot. I took it to myself to get good marks in the coming exams and I did exactly that. I always think positively and try to learn from my mistakes. Getting poor marks in an exam in not that bad. We should learn from the mistakes and make sure that next time we get better grades.

For me if I had bad grade I feel not good and I hate the teacher because I feel injustice in my part so bad right?. But when I'm in the stage of conscious about my grade I need to work hard in study until I can improve my grade.

I used to belong to number 1 category but I realize my mistake and decide to take control of my life. Now my I'm all set to meet the harsh reality of this world - you can never get what you want if you don't work hard for it. I hope your post would be read by people who have faltered along the way, I think it would be inspirational for people like them.

For the first time I must be surprise, especialy when I have studied and still got a bad mark. And if there is another test I must study hard to get good mark. Because if I got bad mark, I can't go to the next level/class, and I think it's waste time and money.

When i was in first year college, i received a failing grade in Partnership and Corporation Law. i really feel bad that time because only few of us in the class got a failing grade. so i said to myself that i must retake that subject and try working hard with it. and then it paid off, after a hard ways of reviewing and making up with that subject. Today, i am fourth year college. i am very conscious with what grade i receive because i am going to graduate this coming semester. so i must see to it that i don't get failing grades in all of my subjects.

Its all part of learning. A passing grade is a bad grade but an "F" surely a worst thing. Have receive it twice in my college years and its even not on my major subject. Damn, I feel bad about it and still remembers them until now. The good part is that the next time I attended the same class, I got an "A" to it. If you're really serious about your studies, then it would not happen to you. But sometimes it happens. Nothing wrong with it, really. But that just me talking.

When I was in school, getting high grades was my target. And getting bad grades was a shame for me. Many times I got bad grades but I never felt downgraded. I never accepted bad grades as my fate. Whenever I got the bad grade in a subject, I decided to work harder and keep moving forward. As bad is always a bad and never let it to become worse.
