Have you ever experienced waking up in the middle of the night fully conscious, but unable to move? It was absolutely terrifying, right? The first time it happened to me, I prayed several times and really tried my best to move my fingers and even open my eyes. It was totally mind-blowing.
I've read that one of the causes is sleeping in a face upwards also known as supine position, which is true in my case. I used to sleep in that kind of position. This is also a symptom of migraine. If you want to know more about sleep paralysis, you can google it and you'll find more vital information about it. Let us know your thoughts and experiences.

Hi Boss,
I had several experiences of having a sleep paralysis when i have bad dreams. I am conscious and even feel that i am awake, i know what's going on around, i can hear voices, even the movements of my room's curtain, everything--but i can't move any part od my body. I even tried to shout so that somebody will come to help me out and move my body but no response at all. Once i finally made a murmur/mumble sound, my husband woke me up. He said that i am mumbling. I told him that i was screaming to the top of my voice to ask for help because i am being chased by a mad dog. But he only hear a murmur from me. I was so tired then and sweating badly and my heart was beating so fast. He gave me water to drink.
I read an article related to this and the advise was to just try to relax. Never stress yourself out to move or shout it will complicate things. Just calm yourself down and you will be mobile again. I tried this and it worked for me. Aside from keeping my mind and body relax-- i PRAY.

Thanks for sharing, msfrancisco. That exact same thing happened to me as well. I tried to scream out loud but it was such a hopeless situation. I still experience sleep paralysis once in a while but, yes, I do stay calm and still keep myself awake no matter what. I am praying for us not experience it anymore.
Have a great weekend, msfrancisco! ;)

I have had this happen to me! I had never heard of it happen to anyone else. I noticed that it happens more when I'm under a great deal of stress. I agree it's terrifying when you can't even open your eyes even though your mind is telling you too. Those are the nights that I can't go back to sleep well.

I was also shocked when I found out that even some of friends experienced it. Yes, it's true. Stress is also one big factor that causes this condition.
