Preseving memories.... photos are better than videos?

A photo is very easy to snap. We can easily carry and show them to others after printing. They take very little memory in hard disk or in mobiles. But are they really good in preserving memories or videos are much more better? Are videos too good because they carry the surrounding voices of all people and live sequences Or they are too dumb comparative to photos which are silent but carry a lot of speech and feelings? Personally I like still photographs to store and share memories a lot and I snap very often whenever I can. What do you like?

I have just recently gone back to getting my photos printed rather than have them just on discs...they are so cheap to get printed at photo shops and places that print...I found some photos i used to print out myself have faded and this got me back into getting pics printed out and when I went through my photos I had stored away on disc I found photos I forgot I even had...I like the photos like we always had years ago much better.

Printing from a photo shop was always headache for me but keeping all of them in albums after printing and showing to someone all one by one was quite amazing. Almost all my favorite snaps including my marriage photographs are not only stored in discs but I have printed them also. I really do not want to let the good memories fade out.

Yes, I like it too. My old Cannon film camera still working and still using it to this day. Had a digital one too, and used it more often. Most of my shots, I have printed while others are saved and burn in DVD formats. Photo albums are one of the main attractions in my house and we have plenty of it, too.

One more thing I really like about still photographs is to retouch them with ease. I learned a lot of retouching techniques from my friends. May be that is the cause I always prefer to gift a photograph which is too old but retouched and color corrected to a new one. I can say that, it is my hobby. Sometimes they just love to see an old photograph which carries lot of sentiments and feelings retouched and gifted to them. Once a friend of mine told that "I never imagined that I could ever be able to get it so fresh". The photograph was so precious to him that he could never throw it away and delighted very much when it was gifted to him as a new one.
