When you first joined MyLot honw ong did it take you to make new friends?

It's such a long time ago that I honestly can't remember but one by one the list just sort of grew. I have been here over two years and some of my very first friends are still active here. I hope you will enjoy it here and I'm sure it won't take you long to build up a friend list too. Oh, I tried checking out the site you have in your profile under your avatar but it is not leading anywhere. Maybe you would like to fix it? Welcome to the Lot!

Hi GiveMoola! Welcome to the lot. I am fairly new here myself and I have been really enjoying myself. I have had some really great conversations on this site over the past couple of months and have learned a lot about myself. The best advice I can give you is to follow up on all your discussions. Answer peoples responses with thought and interest. I can't speak for anyone else here but I get frustrated when people do not respond back to me on their discussions. I don't expect all posts to turn into full conversations but it is a great feeling when it does happen. I have found so many people with similar interests and beliefs to my own. I have also talked to people with very different perspectives than my own. Keep an open mind and have fun here. And, remember, the more you put into a discussion, the more you get out of it! Have fun and see you around the lot!

I remember when me and my wife first started here on mylot,and we had a lot of questions and concerns and we did not have any friends,and I remember that as I responded to peoples discussions I made new friends,and some of the friends I am good friends with and I respond to all of their discussions,and some I do not respond to,and I try to get rid of the ones on my friends list who do not start discussions,or do not comment back when I respond to them,or start short discussions,or do short responses since those are really annoying.

Oh!! welscme to mylot. Wehn I was first timer in mylot way back a year ago, It did not take me a long time to have lots of friends. I initiate to have friends. If I found someone who has a good topic? I will send a request to be friend with that person. But most often, they are the ones who requested me to be their friend sepcially if they like my topics. Just go ahead sending request to someone you would want to be a friend. Good luck.

i have just joined to and i have the same question. how do you make freinds online?

I think now a days people get friends much sooner than when I joined, some 3 years ago. It took me time to filter out the requests and by the time I got some good ones, I was off the site! That happens and I'm lucky to get back to those who are still active.

i joined my lot for almost a year i guess and still have not any friend, well if you see my profile you will see i only have 2 friends which i never talked with.. i dunno, hope to find some nice friend here soon..

When I first joined here I was refered to by a friend. After I joined, I got friend request from varios members. it was ussualy after I had responed to a few disscions posted by them. when I got my friend request, I would look at there profile and decied to whiether or not friend them back. I still get few frined request from time to time here.

When i join here someone already send friend invitation lol... Anyway i dont care because mostly my internet friend is good and nice... You just need good social skill and always chatting with them if you wanna make friends online... Dont worry everyone is okay just dont shy...
