I usually use alarm clock to wake up. I have college from 6am. So I have to get up by 5. After 3 years of college I still need it to get up at the right time. Thanks to my clock I can proudly say that I have never been late in my college. So do you use an alarm clock to wake up in the morning?

If it wasn't for my alarm clock, I can't count the times I would have been late getting up and getting my kids off to school. I can go to bed early and still doesn't matter, mainly because I have a small dog that wakes me up at the wee hours of the morning wanting to go out. My alarm clock happens to be my old cell phone that I don't use anymore.

I always use alarm clock to wake me up in the morning.
But sometime I use my cell phone alarm clock if I stay at other places like my friends or relatives house.
I think alarm clock is very helpful to get me up and the loud its rang the better.

Back when I was working for a company that attendance was important, I would definitely use an alarm clock so I can take bath before I would go to work. It really helped since I cannot depend my waking up to my hubby. Since I am used to the song that plays when the alarm goes off, it is my key to be able to wake up even if I am so tired or what.

I don't really wake up using an alarm clock so I don't need one.
A member of my household is the one who really needs it. He/She must wake up to it so that he/she can wake me up.

Good day to you.
Yes, I do need an alarm clock to wake me up. Its part of my system, before I go to bed, I need to set the time for alarm on the following day.

I go through that routine as well. When you are using a normal alarm clock you have no choice but to go through that routine.
The cell phones are better in this respect. You can set the alarm to repeat everyday, and the alarm will go off everyday at the same time. You would not have to set the alarm everyday. Doing it once is enough.

I used to have the hardest time getting out of bed even with an alarm but then in 2004 I had a heart attack and immediately started waking up at 5 am every day.
It's now Oct. 2009 and I am still waking up every day at 5am without an alarm. And I don't want to.
I work from home and it's only a one minute commute to the office but I still wake up way too early. It would be nice to sleep into about 7am.
The nice part about getting up at 5am is that my 7 hour work day is done by noon every day leaving me lots of time to enjoy my hobbies.

you really have a perfect habit .traditional chinese medical science think that to get up at five to six a.m. is propitious to our health . on the other hand ,as you said that waking up early can leave you lots of time to enjoy your hobbies ,that is a really sacred thing .hope you persist !

I need an alarm clock to wake up. I can't wake up at a certain time without a clock. My Mother can just tell herself before she goes to sleep at night that she wants to wake up at a certain time and then like a miracle she wakes up at the time she wanted. It doesn't work for me. I didn't inherit her way of waking up.

Well, when my exams come up, I switch off my alarm clock. I do not like to burden myself with too much studies and so I relax and sleep a little more than usual. I think calmness of mind is a great factor in examination. I have seen very good and studious students do poorly in exams only because they get tensed and mix up everything. What about you?

Thank you for telling me about it. I did not know that.
We Hindus also pray at SUNRISE. My father does that, but I do not. Most people do not do it anymore. Nice to know you and your family do it. These are somethings we should do. But, I just do not feel like it.

I have been using my children as an alarm clock for a few years now. Most days it is very effective, but there are times, like this morning when they oversleep. When they oversleep, we all oversleep. I have to rethink the alarm clock :)

I'm pretty lucky in that sense since I've never had to use an alarm clock. Usually if I have to get up at a specific time I just have to tell myself before bed that I absolutely have to be up at that time and I usually wake up before I have to be.
It's sort of wierd in a way, like I have an internal alarm clock, because it's always an hour before... But both of my parents are like that so, maybe it's an inherited thing?

Oh yeah, heredity plays an important factor in everything. I think, getting up at a particular time is pretty cool. I cannot do it yet but would like to do it. You can say it is like a dream that I have. My father can do it, but my mother cannot. Maybe I have inherited my mother's genes.

Since you know the essential things, all you have to do now is follow it. Advise others only when you are following the same thing. How will someone feel when you advise him on something but do not do it yourself. Get disciplined and have a regular life. Stop being irregular.

I wake up before 5am every morning. I don't need an alarm clock to wake me up. Although I do have an alarm clock I have an internal alarm that goes off at 5am.
