What do you do when you miss your parents and siblings so much while you are far away from them?

I'm in that situation right now. The last time I met them was last month at the exact sept. 30. But I do not know why, they're always in every dream I have. I do call them and have some chit chat but still miss them. I can't visit them yet because now I am heavily pregnant and the journey is 4 hours flight. We're far apart. So what do you do when you miss your loved ones?

Hi friend,
At first congrats to you a mum-to-be, and it's a very happy thing for you. If you miss your parents so much and you're pregnant, you may ask them to visit you and stay a period of time.
As for me, nomally i get back to my parents several times a year, and i take 4-5hours to get home by bus. If i miss them much, just take several hours to get back, hehe:)

Hello, Ted! Yes, actually they are going to come to visit me when our little one is born. I just can't wait lol. I used to be like you when it was only a few hours drive away. I visited like once or twice a month. It was kinda tiring, but definitely worthed it.

Hello friend,
I also live far from my love ones.I live with my kids 6 hours drive away from my siblings who like me were also married and had kids of their own.And i always missed them a lot, coz,we are very close to each other eversince in our childhood.
I always call them, and sometimes chat with them they had time to go to netcafe, since, they don't have internet connection at home.
We visits them twice a year, but,it's not enough to fill the missing and fun we share when we are together.

Hello Jaiho! That's a cute story you told me. Setting up an appointment for online family gathering seems like a great idea. I do feel that our time being together with family may never be enough. But I think it's the joy of being apart from our loved ones as we will always miss each other.

Well I'm not close to my siblings any more and I've never been with my parents but when I've been in situations where I've been away miss home and the ones I love (kids, hubby, friends etc) I stay in touch by way of phone calls and letters etc..really there isnt anything more you cna do if traveling isnt an option for you..But what about your family traveling to you?

Hi alwayzzcitra, whenever I miss any of my loved ones and siblings, I will call them without any hesitation. It's so nice to hear their sweet voice. And this can reall console my lonely heart if missing them deeply But it's inappropriate to call them during the middle of the night or during wee hours. I don't want to disturb their sound sleep. No other choice I can only send sms to release my feeling in this way
Happy posting

Since my mum and my sister live in germany and I live in the UK and I have not seem them for one year, well you kind of get used to it afterwards since I only see them for most holidays but still talk to them so I dont really miss them that much apart from seeing their face.

Oh, what you said was a relief. At least now I realise that I'm not the only one. I am actually getting used to it but sometimes you just can't help to be sentimental lol

Yes, and that's what I do. It may sound simple but it totally works! It's such a wonder how hearing their voices on the phone can make you feel better.

when iam in jakarta and far away from my parents and my sibling, i had same feeling too like you now. especially when my sister (one year below me) pass away and iam in jakarta, it`s one a saddest moment for me, when i never see her face for the last time.. sometimes, i always see my sister which passed away in my laptop when iam missing her.
