Help me guys, I have a Senior student in Tagalog who will go to Philippines next month. Can you tell me how much salary can he give to maid/cook for 2-3 hours only? He is a Korean volunteer and he will need a maid who can already have experience cooking Korean food. What do you think of the minimum salary monthly?

Well, that's going to be tough, I doubt the usual maids are knowledgeable with cooking Korean dishes, most would probably not know how to do so, so you should try to train them. But it actually depends which part of the Philippines you are talking about. If you're going here at the South, the rates for maids/cook here is like P3,000 a month, that's the stay-in type of a maid, but if you're only asking for 2-3hours, well I think you could strike up a deal with some educated people who are looking for partime jobs. You could at least follow the minimum wage of around P280/day so about P50 per hour.
Well good luck.

I think it is very difficult to find a maid here that know how to cook Korean food. I'm not sure about the rate of cook and maid these days but if you are looking for a cook that is train to cook Korean food it maybe hard to find them. Usually chef and cooks that are working in Korean restaurant only knows it. If you have patience to train them I think any cook or maid well to do.

Hello jaja. If I understand your question correctly, this is like a stay-out maid who will come to the house to clean and cook for a minimum of 2-3 hours only per day. The current rates for maids here that are full time is around P3000-P3,500. This rate also depends if he will stay in Manila or in the province since the rate for maids in the province also differs. I suggest that if you have friends or family already staying here to ask help from them because I don't know of maid services that will do such for only a minimum number of hours and how much it is.

I don't think it will be easy to find a Filipino cook who is good at cooking Korean food. Unless he/she works for a Korean shop. I guess, you can try finding a maid in Subic.. there are lots of Koreans there and people often have interactions with them so maybe they learn how to cook Korean food.
Hmm.. I guess 2500 is enough for a salary
