Active Vs Inactive Mylotters

I just discovered that so many mylotters are inactive. Why do I say so.
Based on responses a discussion recieved compare to the number of members in a group irrespective of how good or interesting the discussion is.
The commentators are also the same. Some people just know how to start discussion but never bother to check other posts to see if they can contribute or learn something from it.
In my opinion, the owners of mylot should come up with a policy that will indulge members to comment or rate other users.
You might have a better opinion.

I think so guys
inactive member must be deleted if didn't log in for 30 days or maybe less than. So many mylotters who have a referral almost of them is active member. It's a great idea asking mylot to make a new policy about innactive member since i have 3 referral but none who active. What a shame it. Good luck man.

Oh please don't say so! I have been a member here for three years, but was offline for almost two years. And that had some reason. Now why you want me to get deleted I just can't understand. OK, you are young and active but that doesn't mean we are just useless sort.

Mylot has been here for years! The statement you make: " irrespective of how good or interesting the discussion is." is interesting! You are judging that on who's interests? Yours? you may think a discussion is interesting, but I may not be interested in it! This what makes mylot so diverse! Yes many mylotters have left, and many come here and join and after checking it out leave and never even make a post! Many new people come here and want to suggest how to improve this site, as you have, this is nothing new to me I've been here and seen many users come and go! Mylot admin. does make changes here but are very careful when they do! The only change I support at this time is not letting new people post until they do so mant responses first! Newbies come here and don't read the rules and generally they are the worse rule breakers by far! If they mandated a certian number of responses first this would improve the site for all! Stick around and your take on this will evolve as you gain more experience here!

Tdemex, please no offence to be taken. In as much as I share your view on letting newbies post a certain amount of responses before starting a discussion, I will like to straighten out some things with you.
Everybody has a common sense and in mylot, there are various interests. A topic of no interest to you doesn't make it insignificant. There is no way in an interest of thousands of people, only two people or none found the topic useful worthing their contributions.
Secondly, I don't know why it bites you so much about newbies trying to straighten things. There are people that make things happen and others that watch things happen. I wonder where you belong. Mylot has its policy but as it grows, there should be room for adjustment and for such, there is nothing wrong if any member give a suggestion whether oldie or newbie.
If I may ask, why is there a mylot interest.
Please, Mr T, are you here just for the dough or .....

I think your not understanding me! There are so many things to learn here and I still learn things here! If you delete people here everything they posted goes with them, so the way the system is, is that I would lose money on the posts I made with them! Also Mylot uses the tags we put on the discussions as a selling venue to create income for the site! So if they delete them the tags would go too! Now you might say they could change that, well then they would have to rewrite the script for the program here! I don't think that will ever happen! This site has been here a long time and is doing fine. I've seen so many new people come here and want to change the site it's not funny, like why don't we have chat here! Why don't they pay you every week, why don't they pay you by the word, why don't they use aletrpay! After your here for a while ,if you stay you'll see what I mean! And no I'm not here only for the Cash! tdemex

You say 'Everybody has a common sense and in mylot...'
Sadly, just the same as offline, not everyone here has common sense, or if they have it they choose not to use it.
I have to absolutely agree with what Tdemex always suggests about new users first learning what myLot consists of before starting their own dicussions. No-one can land here and think they understand how myLot works when not even senior Lotters are aware of all that is required.
When you have clocked up over a thousand posts then you will have a different perspective. Until then please at least listen, even without heeding it, to the advice offered by seniors.

I have seen a of comings and goings here in mylot especially amongst my friends. They do it for several reasons. I myself have been away for a long time and recently came back. Job committments may prevent me from spending more time answering to discussions. Yes there are people who are so active and others less active and as you said, there are many too who are not doing their home work. They just post and I wonder if they ever visit the comments aside from counting the number of responses their posts generated.
One thing that is clear to me that if we follow the guidelines and do our homework commenting and make active interactions going, we are rewarded. Some people just don't get it. Different users have different level of dedication to the site and as long as they don't violate the rules, it's up to them how they do it.

hello there, I agree with you on that, this gives me the impression that mylot is truly is under-staff because they have a hard time trying to delete members who are just here to sign up and not be so active all the time.well, that's not bad when you try to force some one to do something here but what if they're really lazy and don't have the time. if they get deleted, it would surely be their frustration and moight not comeback..

I guess you can't expect people to be online with Mylot everyday and make postings. People do have busy lives with stuff to do. I think Mylot removes all the inactive people if they don't make a posting in 60 or 90 days. Or maybe members need to take a break from posting so much.

I don't think myLot removes inactive members. I was absent from myLot for 2 years and returned two months ago. My profile was still here as I left it. Checking through my friends list, I found that a large number of them had not been active for a year or two.
If you look at the bottom of the left hand column on the profile page of any member, you will how long they have been a member and when they last logged in.

hello! I was once inactive user for almost a year and only this month that i joined again in some discussions that i find interesting and hope can contribute something.
i don't see most of my friends on my list that are starting or joining discussions anymore. well maybe thay have reasons... why i came back is that i needed to share also online. it's a different experience that you share some discussions with people you don't know and haven't meet in person. it's not about the commission you earn for the discussion, but it's the conversation itself that matters. i can't promise myself also to stay or will share some topic here in mylot since i have other "things to do online", but i still take some chances to see topics around and if i can contribute something also.
i guess most users here also are aftering the commission until they reach their payout amount. sorry, but it's true - people come and go...

Hmm! You shouldn't judge everyone like that,as few of the responses have already said that people have different interests and what you might like might not be liked by someone else. I was inactive from mylot for 2-3 days because I was sick and sometimes people also tend to get entangled with other jobs. I have many referrals and some of them are not active. Some become active and make a few posts and again become inactive.

From various discussions of our old members we are able to see that the members(or their referrals) are inactive and they are not making even a single post .The reason is understanding the mylot is really a harder thing at the beginning. The terms of the site and the guidelines are not too simple to understand by the normal internet users. Some of the members want to earn money within no time.Such members are registering with the site once they are referred by some others. But after registration, they feel, working here needs time and effort to earn and hence they become silent..They are not coming again to mylot. If mylot simplifies the procedure as like some other forum, we may expect the active users here.
