I Think They are Playing Reruns
If you are watching a show and it is the same episode every week how long will it be before you stop watching that show? This is what is happening. Every week the same thing happens. Russell conspires, Foa Foa gets a lead, Foa Foa looses that lead, Galu wins all the challenges, Foa Foa looses a tribe member, the tribe member leaving is the one Russell chooses.
Jaison the Weak Minded
One thing that many people do not understand is how someone in as good of shape as Jaison can be outdone by someone is as bad of shape as Russell. Here is my expert opinion. Jaison is a young pup. I would imagine that his whole life he has had several friends and family around him as a support system. Coming to Survivor all of that support system is stripped away. Someone who is used to being coddled is now truly on his own. Think of the mental strain that would put on a person. Now compare that to Russell. Russell is a seemingly hard man, driven by independence with no real ties to a support group at home. He may have a family but is probably used to being away from home for extended periods of time. He is a hard worker and is not affected by the elements as others are.
Jaison the Weak Body
Now onto the physical aspect. Jaison is an athlete. He is built that way and has trained that way. Because of that he is mostly muscle and little fat. As everyone knows, in a starvation mode your body begins to break down the resources that have been stored up over the years. The first thing it goes after is the fat. Then, once the fat content is low , it begins to break down muscle. In Jaison’s case he has no fat to break down so early in the game the body would begin to break down his muscles. Russell on the other hand has a good source of fat energy and is able to run his body off of that resource. At the same time Russell also has muscle behind the fat which allows him to be stronger and faster with a backup resource to hold him over.
Shambo the Great
Oh, Funny Funny Shambo. I love the inauguration speech. I Promise to do my best to make decisions that are best for the whole tribe. It was classic. Playing right in to Dave and Erik’s hand. I especially loved the fact that she sent Laura to the other tribe stating that she was NOT going to send herself over a 3rd time. I think she is great. I do not think she will last long, but I think she is great.
Final Four
I have not changed my mind to much on this. I think since Russell will make it to the Merge that his chances of staying to the final 4 has increased. I believe that those who are a physical threat will be targeted first and then the alliances will fall apart and Russell will stand with the most advantage. (Besides having the immunity idol)
So here is my Final Four picks
Russell H
Dave
Erik
Natilie

Well, dang it, if fat is an asset, I'm signing up. I'll do great! lol
I missed half of last night's episode, walked in just as Foa Foa blew the challenge. I hated to see Liz go. They should have voted Jaison off. He's just not an asset. And why, oh why do they keep voting off the people that I like? :-(
I do like Shambo though, but I agree she most likely won't last. Unless somebody gets the idea that she'd be great to go up against in the final two, that is. But I don't think she'll make it that long, nope.

This season sucks. And those a**h*** guys are just using Shambo, and mocking her and making fun of her. Therefore, Shambo FTW!

I think that it would good to see the girls gang up and take out the guys. Do I think it will happen? no. But it would make for an exciting end of the game. :)

Hey Pastor,
I absolutely agree with your assessment of Jaison and Russell. I just can't see how Russell will make it to the end. When the two tribes merge next week, the scenario will be a mix of trust and deception. The Galu Tribe won't be as easily manipulated as Foa Foa has been. I can see Mick joining forces with Erik and Dave. I really don't think Erik and Dave will be too easily drawn in. I too like Shambo and was a bit embarrassed for her when the speech came out. I don't believe she will last very long. Here are my F4...Mick Erik, Dave and Laura. What do you think?

Russell need to sway 2 people at the least to make it a tie. I believe that now there is a merge people will be talking about getting rid of the strongest to give them a chance to win an challenge as the end comes. I do not believe that Russell will be a target for a couple weeks. By then the venom would have already been working on the victims.
Mick will not team up with Erik because Erik has too much pride. You can only have 1 alpha male. Just my thoughts. :)

Russell will keep all of Foa Foa together for the first 2 weeks I believe. We will see after that what will happen.

I think they should get rid of Russell. They are going to totally kill him when they find out how he's been pulling their strings all season. He's like Johnny Fairplay...only worse. I think Russell has no conscience where this game is concerned.

Russell is playing the game as a game. He see no need to build friendships or get involved in people's lives. This is a game of chess to him. No feelings involved. He has nothing to loose that why he is doing so well. At the same time I would like to see him get blind-sided. LOL

I think you are right about Russel i'm pretty sure he will make it to the end...for some strange reason all these people seem to trust him and do whatever he says...i just dont get it...i mean as soon as i laid eyes on him he made my skin crawl and if i was out there i would have been out first cause i wouldnt have gone near him....but apparently they see something in him we dont...and i have to say i dont hate him as much as i did in the beggining....but i still dont wanna be friends with him yet....
Yep Jaison seems to be sputtering out.....i was sure they were going to vote him off....now thats theres only 4 seems the merge would have to be next week....i hope so..
and i missed the first few minutes of the show but what the heck is going on with shambo? everyone hates her but she becomes the leader? I know they must be doing it to trick her somehow but i dont get the point...i sure laughed when the girls started complaining about how she is being all high and mighty now that she has power because she sent laura to the other tribe...jeesh...they didnt mind being all uppity all this time and treating her like cr@p...what was she supposed to do send herself? lol.....
and oh did i laugh when the girls started complaining that the blankets and pillows were all wet and therefore useless...lol...they didnt see that comming???
I dont even have a clue who i wnat for the finals....this year has been kind of strange...i am finding it hard to find anyone i really like a lot...

Pixel, sorry for being so late responding. At the beginning the guys wanted to lock Shambo in with them so they did so by telling her they wanted her as leader. They then got it passed through fairly quick and the women had no idea what happened.
I thought it was great that she sent one of the girls that had russell around their fingers. Now that there is a definate split in the tribe between the guys and shambo and the girls it will be interesting to see who jumps ship to vote with Foa Foa.

I think Russel is really becoming very interesting.
My husband said he thinks or wish it would come down to him and some one else on the show just the two of them and he would say I ll let you win because I don't need the money.
I told him that is crazy. He wouldn't do that. He is not in it to win he just there to have fun he said that at the beginning of the show he don't care if he wins or not.
He is one of my favorites on survivor...

Russell has become the highlight of this season. It will be interesting to see who comes out ahead. Take a look at the week 8 discussion.

Sorry...I am already on week 8...lol....I need to post as quickly as I can, before I forget what actually happened...lol
After last night's show...I was shocked...I can't believe they got rid of Erik...and can't believe that Russel got rid of his immunity idol. WOW! Why the heck did he do that...the first dumb move he has done all season so far.
When I was watching the game they were competing in, Russel in the lead, and Monica the last one to come in...I felt what was exactly going to happen - Monica was going to beat out the girls, and Russel would lose his lead....and how dissapointing it was to see that happen. I wanted Monica out as badly as he did.
It looks bad for next week - week 9 also, as they showed Russel in complete turmoil on what to do, and some girls talking about how devious Russel is. I so much want him to win! But it is possible that they show us something that ends up the complete opposite.
I can't say that I know the other team as well...since they have concentrated on FoaFoa for so long. So glad to see them merged so we can finally get to know them.
My pics so far... 4 girls at the end! If the girls keep with this trend, they will be getting rid of all the guys.

Copy and paste this on to the week 8. It would make for a good discussion there too. I agree with most of what you have said here.

doubleloveyou,
Jaison's brief physical episode just reinforce my earlier observation on just how challenging the elements are in Samoa, which resulted Russell at Galu being knocked out of the competition. Involuntarily, of course. So, his breakdown is understandable here.
So, with the challenging elements and Foa Foa being outnumbered just do not have a way they can win. For one, they do not have the numbers to take turns to rest out during the competition and choices to put in a strong team against their competitor.
Russell (Foa) - So far, I feel that he has been able to ply his wares at Foa basically because there is no one else - lack of numbers. The team is very low in morale and not forgetting physically drained. Yet, there is the fact that Russell is having the immunity idol and people like Jaison and co. knows it and are willing to close an eye for a "chance" to the whatever future. Not forgetting a dangerous liaised alliance where blindsiding will be prevalent.
I'd expect to see some big fireworks when the merge eventually happens. Russell's game will be up and exploding right in front of his own face. With the Galu tribe being highly motivated and well rested, I am sure they will be attentive and alert enough to spot what a weasel Russell is. Being an average competitor, I do not think he can win any of the challenges individually. So, I am taking that he will either be using the immunity idol prematurely or blindsided (which is beginning with Foa Foa).
About the final 4, I still do not have Russell in my list and not to throw a dampener for you here, I'd say let's stay and watch how the 1st day of merger plays out. Believe me, I am just eager to watch Russell fall at the merger.

I believe that Russell has the ability to sway just about everyone he deems as weak minded. Much like a Jedi from Star Wars he uses mind tricks to make people feel like he relates to them. Watch his posture and compare it to those he talks to. He is doing what is called "mimicking" which is a salesman trick to relate to another person. If you are not aware you are being mimicked you will feel as if you really relate to that person. He is an expert at manipulation and reading people. jason and Mick will not be quick to rat him out simply because they need him to have any chance of getting further in the game.
Then take a look at the galu tribe this past episode. The team is definately split between the girls and the guys plus shambo. So I see the Galu girls making a quick alliance with foa foa to get the odds back in their favor.
We will soon see.
