Firefox is the best according to me.. because many of addon are easily installed on thats why you dont need to install . And firefox use RAM space not depend on Harddisk , if you wants clear data from one hours to all time , you can do it in easy steps...
I think you have no problem in computer speed after installing firefox.

In terms of SPEED and 3rd support (of PLUGINS/ADDONS).. Firefox is the best.. But as you mentioned in your comment above.. the third party addons affects the stability and reliability of the software. There are lot of complaints with many plugins that get you "script - error..". After all this Firefox is pretty heavy on the RAM consumed (in case you have RAM also less)...
On the other hand.. Opera doesn't need any 3rd party plugins or addons... they have all required interface features built in right away. Though Opera is not the fastest, it is fast enough.. and makes little difference at the end. The new Opera 10 with TURBO enables faster browsing with slower connections using their mobile browser principle.. Once you get used to the Opera interface.. You'll know Why I say Opera is by far the best in terms of interface.. The lack of popularity is the main factor keeping it second to Firefox..
About memory - usage.. Opera doesn't use up lot of memory.. and doesn't start a process for each and every tab opened (as most other browsers do... - other browsers start several processes with little ram usage - giving a first impression that it uses very less RAM compared to Opera...)Hope these.. helped.. I recommend you try Opera and check whether it makes much of a difference with your PC...?

You explained alot. I went before response, I decided to install Opera. After all, if I didn't like it, I could always remove it and reinstall Firefox. but I love it. I am getting no problems that I had with firefox. I',m not sure I would get firefox even if I got a new computer. But Opera is making this thing run very smooth, like you said, fast enough and most importantly, error free.

Thnx... I've said about the Opera interface a lot on myLot... It is the first time that I'm getting a positive response... Good Luck!..
Try the new Opera unite feature (with Opera 10.01) also.. (to make your PC into a server)!

It is obvious that Firefox is a better choice.
I used to be a Opera fan, but now, I am becoming a heavy user of Mozilla Firefox. Yes, Opera is a famous browser brand in Norway, Europe, however, compared with Firefox, it isn't a worth mentioning one. Through 2 years using experience, I have been familiar with Firefox. You see, there are all kinds of add-ons, plug-ins and extensions in Firefox community and all the add-ons can brign you unique feature. Compared with other browsers, Firefox is a more secure one.
I really advise you to try Firefox browser.

Like I said, I liked firefox, but the only feature I got with them was "a script has stopped due to low memory. I'm not getting that with opera. Plus, with firefox, I couldn't go to national city because it would crash, couldn't go to yahoo. same reason. I was forced to use IE. and many times, that crashed. either "ie.exe has genereated errors and will be closed by windows, or firefox.exe has genreated errors. So far no problems with opera.
