how to check my downloading limit?

hello friends i have a broad band connection. i have downloading limit but i dont know exactly about that. the person who gave me this connection is not available at present. so please tell me how to check that how much i have downloaded....and whats the limit for my connection? thank you....

Please give detail about your braodband connection and country.. if you use Bsnl broadband then you go to dataone.in and if any other broadband then surf broadbanforum.in. I am sure you get your answer.

Use data.bsnl.in if not opened then use dataone.in and find link "check download speed"

First of all congrats as you took BSNL broad band connection. it has some advantages as well as disadvantages. regarding to your issue as yours is a new connection first of all you need the portal id which you need to collect from bsnl. after getting the portal id you can log in to http://data.bsnl.in there you can check your usage. one more problem is even you get the portal id you may not find the usage details correctly one of my friend recently took the bsnl braod band and he is issued the portal id but when he login to it it is not giving the detailed stats. so better to use some s/w which keep tracks of your data usage along side you can use the bsnl site if it shows the detailed stats.
