Why do some women love thongs and some hate them?

They seem pretty polarising in opinion, is there anyone that's indifferent between them and other styles?

How would you like to how a string up your butt? That is kind of what a thong feels when you wear one! I have tried them and don't like the feeling of the thong inbetween my ckeeks! Some women like them because they show no panty lines under clothes like some regular underwear do! Especially under tight shirts,shorts or pants! Some women wear thongs because they are sexy and some you men love to see thier woan in them! this is why women wear thongs!

Actually i think, if my gf wanted me to wear a male one, i would for her. I think the ones with a slightly thicker 'string up your butt' look more comfortable. I imagine it would move around less.
