During November, I am going to try to find 100 ways to make or save $5. This should help me to refocus on my finances (I haven't been paying close attention lately) and should be a fun way to save/make money.
So far, I have applied to be a writer on a website, I am going to cut back on my electricity usage http://gomestic.com/personal-finance/five-ways-to-save-money-on-your-electricity-bill/ , I am going to eat out of my freezer, and my friend and I are starting a website.
I looked on some websites about adsense and it looks like some people are making quite a bit of money with adsense.
Have you used adsense? How many websites/articles did you have to put up in order to actually make enough money to get paid?
Are you trying to save money? I have to, HAVE TO, get out of debt. It's driving me nuts.

yeah, that's part of my problem too - a lot of the more obvious ways to save I have already done. I am working toward my next $5 payout at swagbucks (I just do the paypal payment, not any of the other rewards), and I am going to roll up all of my coins. That should give me 2 out of the hundred.

This is going to be interesting, I added you as a friend- I would love to follow your progress. I to am working on a new post on my blog for ways to stretch the $ as well, so it will be fun what you come up with. I always like finding new ways to go frugal.

New ways are kind of more fun. After a while the same things that you've always been doing become normal. I like when i think of new things. I even like ways that only save me pennies or parts of pennies, like saving butter wrappers to grease pans.

Oh, I only use them once - after the butter comes out of the wrapper, I save the wrapper in the butter section of the fridge. The next time I bake something, I use the wrapper (it even still has a bit of butter on it) to grease the pan. I figure it saves me some waxed paper. Fortunately, I bake quite often, so it isn't like the wrapper sits in the fridge forever.
I think I got that idea out of the Tightwad Gazette, although my friend told me her mom does it too.

Do you seriously save butter wrappers to grease pans ? so how do you clean the wrappers without ruining them ?

That's a really great idea! I love setting goals like that and trying to reach them when it comes to online earnings. IF you'd like any more legit sites to check out and earn on - check out my website! Quick earners, that I earn at least $5 from each month would be IMReportCard, Squishy Cash, Neobux, and Trekpay. You can check them out and more on my website (link in my profile.) Good luck to you. Update at the end of November and let us know how you did!! I always love hearing about how others succeed in earning online!

Thanks for the suggestions. I am also trying to do this in offline earnings as well, and in savings. Just to make it easier - 100 ways to earn $5 online might be hard to find, although I have done online writing jobs where I made $10 per day, but those were stressful and really impacted my life, where this should be varied and interesting.

I too have a goal of saving money and/or making money online. I've started with a very small goal of making enough to feed my gaming habit. I've been able to do that for the past two months and still have some left over. My next goal is to save enough to pay at least one of the utility bills (even if it does take more than a month to do it.)
As far as suggestions to make a little bit of money, I suggest you check into Amazon Mechanical Turk, you can actually make pretty decent money on there, I haven't cashed mine out yet, but it is a pretty good chunk of change that I'm not even including in my online earnings yet.
Also, you can also check into quick rewards. I've added you as a friend so I can send you a link if you are interested.

I guess linking my online earnings to one of my bills would be an interesting way to look at it. I think I will check out the programs you mentioned next week - this week i have about 25 different things I am going to try, so next week I will have to have 25 other things. 100 might have been too big of a number.
