I like keeping a record of interesting quotes, and before the Internet was the big thing, I used to do this in old notebooks. When I ran a Christian bookshop, I would spend some time each day writing out an extract from one of the books on the shelves and putting it on a special blog. However, I left the shop three years ago, and the blog has been in limbo for three years. Today, when I came across a quote I thought I'd like to keep, I decided to start the blog up again. This time the quotes will be shorter, generally, but it seems like a good place to keep them. The second post is actually a poem by Mary Oliver, but it's about life and death and how we view them.
