Allergies can be life threatening if not dealt with. I mean serious allergies.
I'm extremely allergic to sesame, wether it's seeds, paste, oil or anything like that. Even just the smell of tahini (sesame paste) gives me somewhat of a reaction. It's scary to think that I could die from this. I always carry my epipen with me, but still, it takes 5 minutes for me to into a state of anaphylaxy and die. Same thing with aspirin for me. I'm also allergic to cats, but that's more of a skin condition reaction (rash), but if I do stay too long where a cat is, I have problems breathing.

I am allergic to many things, but they are not life threatening. I am allergic to cats and we just adopted 2 kittens from a rescue shelter. When I am exposed to them everyday all day I will build up my immunity to them and there fur and dander wont bother me any more. Untill then I will just keep washing my hands and face and blowing my nose alot. LOL
