The one word definition of education is " enlightenment ". True education should help us achieve all these:1. It should help us learn the basic things such as proper and effective use of our mother tongue and if possible, some more languages, basic aspects of health and hygiene, decent interpersonal relationship guidelines, and a respectable knowledge in a practically useful subject so that it fetches us a job which can aid us in leading a comfortable and decent life.
2. True education should also teach us how we can develop ourselves as responsible citizens of society, where we help others volutarily so that, in turn, we truly deserve others' help to us.
3. Higher forms of education should lead us in the right path in the spiritual aspects of life so that we lead a respectable life and show the path to our youngster how to organize their own lives.
Without the right type of education, none of the above is possible. So educators should keep all these factors in mind if they really want to serve their students.

I am a postgraduate. Recently I am thinking about this question. I often ask myself that I recive the high education just for the job or other things such as the development. I come from the country.I have to worry about my job and my future life.Until today,I don't get the answer to satisfy myself.

Hi there Zhouxi!
Well, as a future educator, I believe that the purpose of educating people is to bring about development. And we say it's development, it means progress, getting to higher up a notch in the level or even to level-up. The effectiveness of education can be measured by the changes that it will bring about among the learners.

A good education is learning more how to learn than learning how to earn. Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence. Education is very important tools to impart knowledge to everyone in the society.

"Education is the solution", said by our DepEd Secretary in our country.
Education is a public or state funstion. Public elementary and secondary school teachers are supported by the national government. There's no reaon that education serve as the basic foundation our lives. Without education you could no longer learn on how to manipulate even single thing. It's actually us-ourselves who are responsible of these.
The teachers are doing their job and other education officials who strive hard to attain their goal, "to strengthen education".
Students should also develop their way of studying. they must be responsible of their duties and responsibilties.
There must be a cooperation between teachers and students relationship in order to promote quality education. It's not only them; but also other individuals who are responsible of this; parents, society, etc.
Happy myLotting!
