Hello dear myLotters ! It is really so so amazing that there are hundreds of languages around the world. Even in one single country, there can be many (native) languages. It is indeed very challenging and exciting to learn foreign languages and to be able to speak the languages. It makes life easier ofcourse if one can speak the language of the country when visiting the country, for holidays or for business. Do you speak any foreign languages ? Do you enjoy learning foreign languages ?

How I wish to visit to other countries around the world and learn the different languages spoke or used of the different people. I can speak english, Filipino, subanons, Ilonggo and a little bit chavacano. It's nice to know the different languages. You can easily communicate people.

I do speak a foreign language. I speak Spanish. I love learning it and it is really neverending. There is always a new word or phrase to learn. I would love to learn more because quite frankly, I love to communicate with everyone. I don't want there to be any language barriers. That's why I began to learn Spanish, I worked on and off with people that couldn't speak English.

Giving a chance to study other foreign language aside from English I like to learn Spanish, Korean and Japanese. In the Philippines we have many dialects that spoken here aside from Filipio and English most of the Filipinos are multi-lingual. I only know how to speak English, Filipino and a little bit of Ilonggo dialect.

Yes, I enjoy learning foreign languages. The only problem is, I'm involved in so many other things until I wouldn't have time to learn one these days. I also have to think about how much it costs to take a course in a foreign language and I have to think about my budget. I took French when I was in the third grade and I really enjoyed that. I've forgotten just about everything I learned, though, lol. I ordered some records from Sears one time to learn the French language but like I said, it does take a lot of time. If I had a chance, I would like to get back with it. Kathy.

You are right. It does make life easier when visiting the country if you know the language of that country. It sure would have helped a lot of us out when we were in Europe several years ago. There was one girl with us who knew German and I imagine she didn't have much of a problem when we were in Germany. Kathy.

hi greenline... I like learning languages and right now I'm still trying to improve my mandarin and tagalog. It's not hard but it takes time to learn.

I like learning new languages. We learned Spanish in schools here and it is sad that it was stricken out of the curriculum today. I learned Thai by going to a Thai language school in Bangkok and that was a lot of fun. Thai language is tonal and just a slight change in tone changes the meaning of the word completely. It is easy to learn though, one doen't have to worry about complicated grammar not to mention the issues of tense, voice, mood, gender, number and case.
Yes, language learning is fun. Given a chance, I would like to learn German and Chinese.

I enjoy foreign languages. In high school i took three years of French. It was the highlight of my school day. My best friend preferred to take Spanish. She was an honor student in Spanish in fact. We would try to teach each other French and Spanish. I would love the chance to travel to Paris one day to see how much of my high school French I can still master.

Yeah, I love learning new things, foreign languages included. I had my first contact with French before I went to school, age 5, thanks to my mom, who at the time considered French to be the most beautiful language on Earth. The next one was English, which I learned in school, and this is my favorite of all. And recently (a few years ago) I started learning Spanish, which was a huge surprise for me, since I learned it quite fast. The only language that I had problems with was German, I took some courses while in high school, but it was impossible for me to actually understand anything :))

I like to learn foreign languages very much even if it is a little harder for me. I think if I learn one more foreign language, I would know one more culture. I could also talk with more and more people in their language if I could speak many foreign language. Learn foreign language is a really interesting thing.
