Free Taco for Halloween

Here in the US a fast food restaurant is giving away one free "Blackjack Taco" to anyone who comes in between 6 pm and midnight on Halloween. The Blackjack Taco is something new at Taco Bell. When I was driving by and saw one pictured for sale at 89 cents, yes, I came to a screeching halt and went right in to try one. It was hard just eating one, but clam chowder was waiting at home :-) So I was planning to stay in on Halloween, but this may get me out, especially now that I have had practice just eating one. It was as good as the orange volcano taco. A whole tray of the black and orange tacos would look very nice for a party. So maybe you heard it here first: http://www.tacobell.com/FreeBlackJackTaco/ What do you think of that? If you are not from the US do you have any holiday offers like this where you live? Is there such a thing as a free lunch?

Welcome to myLot and enjoy! I am watching the clock and it is almost time to run out and get my Blackjack taco! No tricks, just a treat. I hope they continue to have them year round at 89 cents, but probably they won't.

I'm disappointed that they got rid of the chicken ranch gordita for 89 cents. That thing was amazing, I absolutely loved it. That's a reason why I don't want to get hooked on this black jack one, because they will just take it away like everything else good.=]

Nopers no coupon. Just show up. One has to be very careful on Halloween now than in the "olden days". I love your username and avatar. Welcome to myLot and congratulations on getting past 100 posts. When you pass 500 you will earn more pennies, I think and be able to cut and paste :-) Well, the kid in me is going to go out and ride my bicycle around the block before the goblins come out--or the coyote a neighbor spotted the other evening. Shudder.

I will not take advantage of the offer, but I am sure they will be pretty busy, at least for a while. Hope you enjoy!! Thanks for the tip!

I love Taco Bell... but sad to say i can only eat there when i am in Manila... since there is not franchise here in my area... i love the Burritos, Churros, Tacos, and their plate meal... i don't think there are holiday offers like that here... but i am currently in the Mall and i can see a lot of kids in costume going from store to store getting candies... i wish i brought my daughter with me... but it was raining when i left... so i decided to leave her at her grand parents' home... Enjoy your clam chowder...

It was yummy! Having the trick or treat for candies in the mall is a great idea and probably much safer than in the street. When I was a little one we could go out in the neighborhood just after dark with our hollowed out pumpkins lit inside with candles and it was such fun. But not any more! Kids today lose out on some good stuff, but at least they have the internet!

This is the first I've heard of it. Wonder if it's a Nationwide promotion. I don't eat at Taco Bell, but my sweetie does. I should tell him about it. The orange volcano taco actually sounds pretty good. I think I would have liked the clam chowder instead. ;-)

Is it good? I pass a Taco Bell every day coming home from college but the black shell just makes it look unappealing to me for some reason even though I'm sure the shell has the same flavor. If someone can share how it tastes, I might pick one up. As for a free lunch, economically speaking, no such thing exists. Unless Taco Bell is in your front yard, you have to drive there, which costs money. Along with that, chances are, and this is what they are betting on, you will buy at least a drink and possibly more food. I know I probably wouldn't just get the taco and if it was good I would go back to buy more. So is there a free lunch, no, not in my eyes anyways.

I bought one the other day and it was scrumptious, but yes they are counting on everyone buying a drink and other food. Not me, though. Even though they have pina colada flavored iced drinks now, I will grab my free taco and run with it, lol. There is a Taco Bell on my way to the mail drop, so I am truly in luck this Halloween, lol.

If not a free lunch, maybe a free snack. they do sound good. Maybe Taco Bell was hoping some innovative soul would think of a mixed tray like you describe. I still will probably stay at home. I will have to work during the day tomorrow.

Right, just enough to fill a hollow tooth. Yuck, I hate to work on Halloween. Too much confusion with all the costumes and stuff.

How I wish that such a promo was available here in the Philippines. Love tacos, I even love their enchildas. Plus I live their potato and cheese dish. Am not much for nachos. But it would be nice to have such a freebie here in my country.

Sorry that I cannot e-mail you some! When one sports team won a big victory Taco Bell did the same thing only it was a different kind of taco, but word got around and even some homeless people went in and got their free tacos. For that one you had to follow sports or have a friend that did in order to know about it!

I never have tried a Blackjack Taco but this does look awfully good. I've been having a lot of problems with my stomach due to UTIs and having to be on so many antibiotics here lately and the thought of eating Mexican Food makes my stomach hurt. Otherwise, I love Mexican Food! Since it's free tomorrow night, I just might go for it depending on how my stomach is feeling. Anything free is good, isn't it? Thank you for telling us about this. Kathy.

I think the spices would kill the infections! Kathy, I hope that gets better and thanks for visiting just the same. The Blackjack did not seem as spicy to me as the volcano, but I pour all that hot stuff over them all anyway. Yesterday Sam's Club was giving away samples of Jalapeno pizza. Ohhhhh!
