Everyday we have newbies joining mylot and was checking on to one newbie profile before responding to her maiden post but to my surprise her profile was blanked out. This doesn't happen to the other newbies. I am wondering why her discussion is there but her profile is glaring with nothing in it - blank. Do you think she is a reborn mylotter who has her previous account banned? And the admin is locking her out from mylot? Anybody experienced this odd happening in mylot? Do you think we will be readmitted to mylot once we are banned, with a new username of course?

Zandi there is also another reason that the profile could be blank but the discussion is still posted. The discussion may not contain any violation and the user may have cancelled their account themselves. When that happens their posts remain.
Now I guess that I should answer your questions too...
There are many reasons why users are banned and, in my opinion, some of these reasons are more important than others and those do not deserve a second chance. For example plagiarists and those with multiple accounts along with those who flame and abuse are the worst offenders
Then there are those who think that they can come here to spam. They often think that myLot is like many other forums and, as they are not familiar with the Guidelines, are unaware that they are going against the Terms. They should be given a second chance and many will change their ways second time round. Those in the first group should never be allowed back as they will not alter and we are well rid of them.
Then there is another question which you ask too in the title...

Ah....that can be possible for the poster to have canceled her account. So many 'sinful' acts that can lead to be banned. I am not aware of them. Now that you have written it here, it should be clear to everyone that the guidelines should remain the guiding force in mylotting and going against any of them would be disastrous. The question in the title brings me back to a forgotten incident that has come to light lately. A new chapter is about to start..

this your is longest post i have seen hehe... neways, but is there anyway these guys at the site can ensure the ones belonging to the first group cannot access mylot again? i mean they can always change the e-mail id and all that... but yeah they are stubborn so i guess that can't stop themselves form plagiarising[misspelt (again wrong spelling)] again so i guess they will get banned again.

hi Zandi I have heard that some have been banned but came back under a different user name and new account. I do not know if
that is fair or not, depends on just what the person did in the
first place, I have never experienced this myself so really do not know for sure.

Hi Zandi, I've seen what I consider harmless types coming back on here, by that I mean not trouble makers. I know that both Mike and Lamby are back for more but don't know if they were banned or not but glad to see them both here now.
However there is one mylotter who I consider went way to way too far with abuse, foul language, indiscrimatory insults and foul pm's who has attempted to return many many times but he is reported on each re appearance now as has had just too many chances and the apologies fall on deaf ears. Obviously he requires help but as refuses to seek it should look for his entertainment elsewhere.

I would sure hope not. But all you probably have to do is create a new free email in that case. It is not good for the abusers. I know I saw the same person who was placing attack sites in the tasks. they had just a few posts then. I reported them of coarse. Saw almost the same exact user name in the tasks. It was definitely the same person. Trying to post attack sites again. I bet they just used a different email which isn't hard to come by.

I am quite sure that many people have been banned from Mylot and then simply rejoined under a new username. This is obviously not allowed, but it would be very difficult for mylot to police such a situation.
Another problem is people joining under several usernames, even using themself as the sponsor to increase payouts.

I love to come late so didn't respond so long
Well I can't get to any conclusion regarding 'mysteriously blank' you refer here. But I have seen people getting in again under new names. Usually they drop out pretty soon.
Now, I am a reborn mylotter no doubts! And with all my schedules and of mylot's, I am going to have all nine lives of a cat here! Fortunately I don't have to choose a new name. Mine one and only works fine!

I have not come across a blank profile like you have and in regards to being allowed back once you’ve been banned, in my opinion, it depends on the reason for the ban and most of the time, unless it’s an extreme case, these members should be given a second chance, after all everyone makes mistakes! I know several people that this has happened to and they have come back and MyLot is richer for it; perhaps it should be three chances and you’re out for good.

Good idea. A first time offender should be given chance to make amends and be allowed to participate here. But those with questionable character who are only here to create nuisance should not be allowed. Mylot should stand out as one of the best social networking site.

I have seen 4 people banned from here and I have to say it was due to one man and his lethal gang. My account and 2 others was done just because we didn't want anything to do with him. Simply put if a person doesn't like you in here and they want to rid themselves of you they will get there friends together and report you for no real reason.
So truthfully I believe if some come back it should be alright. It's the trouble makers that should be banned for good, and only about 1/2 of those have ever been banned from here. R.D. works with a man that joined here made one post and was banned. Just because one man didn't like him. This is what I am talking about.
I had a friend on my list and the next thing I knew all of there posts were gone, there account is still there but all posts are gone, that is a ban. The worst part is they posted good discussions. I noticed another member had been banned this morning that was on my friends list. I will try to get up with them through my friends forum to see what happened. There was no need for it.
Admin does not lock people out they can come back with new name's, but many give up. I know one lady that refuses to come back here. Truthfully I can't blame her after 6 ban's in a month for no reason.

Didn't know that there are dirty underground tactics at play here to get someone banned. I hope mylot will scrutinize and reason out a person's background before putting a ban on them. I saw many newbies lately who start discussions like the veterans. I suspect they are reborn mylotters.

I used to have a friend from Romania and we became real good friends on the net. One day she disappeared only to resurface later under a new username. It was not long after that that she was gone for good. She used to be one of the most active members here and is was sad to see her go. When we chat later on yahoo, she told me that mylot discovered that she was using two accounts and she was banned because of that. Yes, I believe that there are reborn mylotters here, for several reasons known only to them.
