I am watching and it differs a lot from the book. I like the book better. Though I am still watching the TV series hoping that it would get better

I intended to buy the book but just afraid that i might lose interest in reading and would be placing it at one corner. Yet, i want to know what is going on and just can't wait the show to be broadcast every week.

I just got the PDF of the 5 books from a friend. I have read the first 4 books and half way through the 5th. I really like the book rather than the book. Spoiler alert. There are lot of characters in the series than are not in the books. Elena's sibling is suppose to be a 4 year old girl. Matt is not suppose to be related to Vicky. Thanks for the response

Nope I think this show looks so stupid I really dont care for vampires anymore. So I will not watch this show plus its on the cw which is a crappy network the only good show on that network is smallville which is the only show I like every other show on that channel pretty much just sucks.

Yep, I watch it. I never watch the CW (not into Gossip Girl, Supernatural, or anything else on there) but for some reason, this looked really attractive to me. I have been following it about a week late since I can't actually watch it on tv, but I haven't missed an episode yet.
Not sure if you've read/heard of the books but I got curious and I decided to get the books. In my opinion, the show is better than the books, and I'm not sure if that's because I watched the show first and the storyline is not quite the same. I have decided that I like Elena and Stefan much better in the SHOW than in the book. In the book, she is one of those people I wouldn't want anything to do with, in the show, she'd probably be a friend of mine. Damon seems the same in both, maybe a tad more charming and humorous in the show - in the book he really isn't charming at all lol.

Count me in as one of the many fans of this show. I am addicted to this show. I love the cast, the effects, the dialogue, and the plots. I was able to finish the whole season 1 in three days. It has become my favorite tv show now.

yes,i am into it so deeply too.How many episodes have you seen?which vampire make Elena happen accident?Will her be a new vampire?Or stefan save her?i want to know more and i can not wait untill next year.
