How many messages do you have in your email account? Do you bother to read it? Delete it? Or just don't do anything? Mine is about 5 years now and it has 10009 unread messages, but I've already deleted some. This doesn't count the spam, I think I have 108 of them, most of the messages came from social networking sites. What's yours? Do you tend to delete them or just let it be that way?

Hi Charmz, I used to receive 30 to 60 emails everyday. I checked on it one by one. Some are comments from my posts that i responded back again and again. Majority are new discussions that my friend started. I enjoy reading them and tried to respond to all their posts. This is one way of showing my appreciation to my mylot friends who always respond to my discussions and a way also to inspire them to keep on. I don't delete them. I created a two folders for mylot-- 1 for the comments and 1 for the new discussions. I love Mytlot and am really enjoying this!

for my part charmz, i receive mails almost every hour. I clean or delete them everytime or after i read them.. or if it is an important one i'll make a new folder and put the messages there so that it will be organized and my mail would not be so tidy. Sometimes, I put the unnecessary messages to the spam messages.

I will be more careful this time after my email account stopped working. It has 21,000 emails then it stopped working and many of those were unread emails. Now I have less than 100 emails and every day I delete emails that I don't wish to keep. I get many emails every single day.

Whoa? Really, what email account is that? Is it yahoo? Back then the inbox of yahoo was limited to I think 2gb? Now it's unlimited, but I'll start deleting those which are not important. Thanks for the advise.

i used to have 4,000 messages. i erased them most of them now. i have only about 100 messages left. i just keep some old messages that are important to me and those email i want to have a copy of. most of my messages are basically from different websites i have signed to. i usually erase my messages after reading them. i just keep those important ones for a copy.

Very nice habit, I envy you for that. I usually don't read them because their titles shows what the content is like those I receive from facebook, friendster, and tagged, while surfing the net I'm already logged in to those sites so I don't bother myself to read them, but I'm also lazy to delete them. Lol

anyways , i find it fun to delete those messages. it was not that hard. as long as my internet connection it is easy to delete them. i hate when people see my inbox filled with lots of messages and none of them are really messages from some one i know or from any friends. i am not proud to have lots of messages since they are not personal messages.

My email is also about that old and I receive about 150 messages everyday excluding the spam. But unlike you I go through them everyday as my email are arranged in a proper manner with each having its own folder. This helps me a lot as I deal with the most important ones first and then the ones that are coming from the social networking sites and other places. I think you seldom use your email or you are very lazy. Otherwise you wouldn't accumulate that many emails.

I have a free email from yahoo and I think I received more than hundred emails from that email everyday. I do check them from time to time but most of them are spams. I do have a paid email from my website hosting services and usually I received around 20 to 30 emails a day. This are usually inquiries for my business. I do check them out and respond to them if necessary.

Actually, I don't really count how many messages and some of them from the past few years are still there sitting in the inbox! Some I have not even read yet because most of them are forwarded emails from my friends and I just read the subjects. I intend to read it whenever I feel I have some time to read, but they end up being 'staled'!! Anyway, I will only delete those spam messages and the notifications or invitations from a few of the social networking sites. Sometimes, I would read the messages first before I delete.

I currently have 330 messages in my Yahoo account, in which I have already deleted some emails. I tend to delete non-important emails right away because if I don't do so, I might not be able to retrieve my important emails. And in my case, it also becomes too stressful to look at. Haha. But I have a Gmail account which currently has 7918 emails, though. I don't really open that email account because of the junk mails. Haha. Take care! :)

About 500+ unread messages in my Gmail inbox. In most situations, I will choose to delete all the unread messages. For busy with my work, sometimes, I will leave the Internet for several days. And then when I go back, check my E-mail, the inbox is often full of large amounts of unread messages. You see, everyday, I can receive more than 60 messages from myLot, which is useful for me to post responses or comments and I will read these messages. But at the same time, there are so many spam E-mails here that I have to delete them without any hesitation. Of course, if there are full of spams and I can't take any measures to stop receiving such messages, then, I will switch to another E-mail.

Same here. Especially if you have a good discussion, there are a lot of emails regarding your post, comments, and responses.

I have around 2,000 unread messages. Not to include the messages from my folders I think I've got a thousand already. Most of my messages are from the sites which I am a registered member. Some are from my clients. I just don't have enough time to go over it all in a day that's why it piled up. I try to delete some most especially newer ones.

I always clean them from my inbox, because I know they just want to make money from me,but I have no interest on buying any product or offer in email. That is what I did and what I thought of.Of course,if a headline is very attractable to me,I maybe view it and keep it in my inbox,so If I start a email marketing campaign in the future,a very attractable headline is key.
