IN contemporary society, the relationship between pets ad humans has changed radically,in the traditional sense, people kept dogs for looking after the house and protecting the yard, and they kept cats for killing mice and warding against pests. But now pets are completely an emotional need of their owners.and what's your oppion?Tell the reasons for keeping pets?

Being a pet owner of two dogs, I don't know what I would do without them. I have found my pets are more faithful than some of my friends. Friends get mad at you, and don't speak to you for weeks. My dogs love me regardless if I feel bad or feel good. They really make my day.
I wouldn't trade the love my dogs have for me coming in from a hard day at the office, they are always happy to see me.

i keep dog because i like it,they are so cute, and bring lots of happiness to us,they are also my best friends, pay enough patience to them, they can do better, they do have emotions, happy, unhappy,i've heard that one dog became unhappy because his owner pay him less attention than another.

well, its just like you said, an emotional need. Pets are great for keeping you company, sometimes too much. They also keep you entertained, running around playing, doing stupid things that make you laugh. It is said that people with pets live longer happier lives. I know my grandparents have been much happier since they got their cat. They love him, and live for him. People should only own pets if they can take car of them though.
