having discovered that a god of thunder is busy on mylot and i have certainly seen a few harpies, which character from mythology do you think you may actually be? naturally all current religions are excluded from this but for example greek, norse, egyptian mythology all provide plenty to choose from. DISCLAIMER - I AM NOT SAYING THAT ANY CURRENT RELIGIONS ARE MYTHOLOGIES.

Mother Earth doesn't remember what a Jaffa cake is... I've decided that my Mom was Athena. If only because she collected owls...

does mother earth eat jaffa cakes? [hands over some packets of biscuits for no real reason except they produce a bad vibe if left lying around]

People give me strange comments regarding my looks. Besides I have problem in facing people while talking. So I think I would like to be Medusa. As long as no one beheads me...

that does not surprise me in the least - you hoping to turn people into rocks when you do look at them...just watch out for greeks with shields - they are tricky. i'll warn you when thea is due round.

After taking the "Which Goddess are You" test, I came out with two... Hera and Hermes...I'll take Hera's powers and Hermes handbags

well, theres the matriarchal thing, the insanely jealous thing, I too dislike regular childbirth (i dislike pain), I drive people mad (like Dionysus foster parents) occasionally... so I get the similarities.

so why do you match hera? hermes is not a goddess, but have fun with the handbags.

Hello, Judith - what a great topic. A friend we go on holiday with calls me Medusa, because I take those wiggly things you can use for hair curlers, rather than packing the heated rollers. However, I'd prefer to be Aphrodite, because all the hot sun in Spain makes you very frisky. Also, if I was the goddess of love, I could make all those handsome Spaniards fall at my feet ... Ooh, I'm getting all worked up now - better go off for a cold shower!

Considering the rare times I start discussions and the low speed I express myself on myLot in the past few months, I would like to see myself as an Ent. "[...] it takes a very long time saying anything [...], because we do not say anything [...], unless it is worth taking a long time to say, and to listen to." (Treebeard) More than that, I came to be immune to all sort of rubbish that might go by around me here on myLot. It's been 3 years since I joined the site and it takes more than just a few trolls to take me down. Making another reference to Tolkien's books, one of the Ents (can't remember if Treebeard or another) says that the trolls have been created by the dark lord to be similar to the ents, but they are only a pale opponent...

That they are, but when they get mad (and that takes a long time and some very serious reasons) there is no escape - Saruman felt their rage in his own keep.

I had to go & do a search for some inspiration here and i've chosen Hilaritas - goddess of rejoicing and good humor I had no idea there were so many gods/godesses... one for cattle worms??? one who ties knots in stalks of wheat???
@Wizzywig (7847)
3 Nov 09
Verminus, apparently... - Do you think the worms had to wriggle their way to a particular part of the cow to worship Verminus??... & what offerings/sacrifices did they have to offer??- the cow maybe? I'm going to see if I can find a picture of him...

Wiccan initiation tattoo - Symbolic tattoo representing the Goddess, the God, and the human condition
Pan. Well, more accurately Dionysus. I'm a (small) God of ecstasy. But since I was Wiccan for quite a while, I refer to him as Pan mostly (see attached pic of my initiation tattoo, the stag representing the masculine ecstatic energy). Mind you, this Pan is now white haired and somewhat feeble, and mainly only imaginatively ecstatic (as opposed to rampantly), but it's the thoughts that count lol. Lash

Hi jb, I think the Muses. There are nine so that can account for the ever changing personality. Right now as I read through some of the discussions, Thalia, the Muse of Comedy springs to the forefront.
